Re: Lathe question?
Without a tailstock, any lathe is a very poor choice. Do not count on buying one for $75. Skip it and move on. Well I checked and there actually are a handful on ebay from $30-$80 right now. This guy is trying to get it out of his garage and I'm a broke college student so I am trying to do this on ...

Lathe question?
Okay I have zero maching experience or knowledge but I really want to get started, a buddy of mine is the head machinist for the Winchester ammo plant down here and can teach me everything I need to know on how to run it and all. Anyways, I wanted to see if this would be a good lathe for gun work (a...

barrel length for sbr .22lr upper
As the title says, I am going to build a SBR .22LR upper to use with my Kodiak TL once the paperwork goes through. Anyways, does anyone have a short barrel (like 4.5") that runs good with all ammo and a can. I want a really short barrel so I can use bulk ammo and keep it subsonic but have not s...

Re: Beretta 92 FS Centurion Barrel Threading
Get a standard 92FS barrel, send it to one of the threaders like Hoop or Tornado Tech (along with your slide). they can cut the barrel down to the correct length and thread it as with a factory length threaded barrel it looks goofy because it sticks out too far. I have one that I had done a while ba...

Re: 10/22 bolt/semi auto conversion. Would you buy?
I would pay a hundred bucks any day if it worked well and was built nice. That would save me $350 buying a bolt gun, another $200-350 for extra optics, plus you would still have hi-cap mags.
