I currently have a 10/22 w/ SB-X, S&W 2213 w/ threaded adapter, and a Buck Mark SS that I'm about to get threaded. My first NFA purchase will be a 22LR can in April. I am SO GLAD I read through all 6 pages of WAITING contained in this thread. Until about 2-minutes ago, I was actually considerin...

Re: Pac-Light Upper, being damaged by the Main Spring Pin

If you know someone who works at a machine shop, they could possibly drill the hole bigger to make it round again and make you a bushing to take up the slack in the assembly. maybe some stainless or 4140 would stop the wear and tear. My bad forgot to ask my buddy about this tonite. Thats alot of wo...

Re: Pac-Light Upper, being damaged by the Main Spring Pin

Same here no issue until the bolt would not go into battery very well, i took it apart and the ALLU. was rolling under on the inside of the top hole.

I know I am not the only one. Questions is whats is the cause. I would add pictures, but am not up on how to do that.

Pac-Light Upper, being damaged by the Main Spring Pin

Hey,

Has anyone heard of this happening, the hole in the top behind the rear sight is becoming oblong. I am guessing the the recoil is causing it to become oblong. Its causing it (Ruger MKIII) to the have FTF issues.

Remington 700 AAC-SD

Does any body know the shank length for the Remington 700 AAC-SD from the factory.

The shank is the measurement from the action to the the start of the barrel taper.

To answer your question, yes. I spoke to Mr. Mers personally a little over a month ago. He gave me two weeks out at that time... Which seems to be a recurring them. I think this is the last "two weeks" I will be waiting. Its all very well and good that AAC is working to resolve the proble...

Black Oxide and 17-4 pH stainless steel question

Help me out with this, I am a little confused about grades of SS. I want to black oxide something that is 17-4 pH and want to know if it will work. I want to use the Caswell cold kit.

Is the 17-4 pH just a harding it doesn't match up with a grade on Wiki .

Any info would be helpful.

I would have passed on the AWC Amphibian and bought a Gemtech LDES first. I wanted a mini-can, didn't get one until much later. Which is a good general lesson....buy what you really want. Couldn't have said it better myself. If its expensive, wait until you can buy it, buying what you can afford an...

needing a 308 can. dont wanna deal with running down 18t crap. so aac is outta the picture at the moment. is the liberty freedom auto rated? Why is AAC out of the picture for running down 18T parts?
