Re: POF P308 sub-sonic loads?

No reason you can't. I find some people have a hard time selling something they have, even when it's not doing what they want. People tend to get hung up on "how much I've already got into this" and don't see it as cash towards the right tool just waiting to be sold.

Re: POF P308 sub-sonic loads?

If you want a 30 cal semi auto you should just sell the 308 and buy a 300 Blackout.

Not trying to be a jerk, there is just no easy way to make the 308 cycle with so much less energy.

I use a 1mm O-ring, 10mm ID on 1/2-28 threads with thread relief.

Re: SBR issue

It is almost certainly too much gas not too little. You should try an H3 buffer, and make sure you have an extractor O-ring or extra power extractor spring.

If you still have issues then you will want to turn down the gas with an adjustable gas block.

Re: Bullpup AR-10 lowers

I don't think the bulpup lower is practical. If it was there would already be an AR-15 sized one. Bulpups are quite different to run. I would suggest you buy a bulpup in 5.56 and get some training with it. Decide if it fits your needs. Then hope the rumors that someday 6.8 or 6.5 conversions will be...

Re: Colt 6920 & AAC M4-2000 Questions

I would use the H2, or even go to the H3 if you mainly shoot 5.56 ammo. You need to keep a closer eye on lube shooting suppressed, it will blow off and thicken with carbon faster. Keep it wet with good lube (synthetic motor oil works well and is cheap or there are plenty of good gun oils, just don't...

Yes, for the serial number. You are still making an NFA firearm so the manufacturer or maker info must be engraved.

Don't start talking to the cops if you don't want to incriminate yourself. I don't think it's the courts job to protect people who don't care enough to know about their Rights from themselves.

Good for him. Isn't the first and won't be the last agent or examiner that doesn't understand the law. Did he put it in writing and cite the law he believes applies?

Like the info posted from the NFA handbook. It cites the CFR so you can go read the law for yourself.

Why, would you like to be the first if there hasn't?

The law is PLENTY clear, a maker must mark just as a manufacturer or importer does.

Re: Help! 1/2x28 thread adapter to bring up to 5/8x24

Many sporter weight bolt gun barrels are too skinny for 5/8 threads and a shoulder. In this case a QD mount that can stop on the muzzle is a good option. QD is also the better option for a semi. Sure it's bit more for the can and then you need to get the mounts but anything more that very casual use...

Re: Optimal Twist SSS Barrel

I see no reason to bother with that ammo in the first place. Normal 40gr RN penetration is more than needed for anything that should be shot with a 22, and both just poke a small hole. Also it seems most report the SSS has more port noise out of a semi than regular 22 because of the shorter case.

Actually I would say Article 1, Section 2, Clause 3, apportionment for a direct tax makes it functionality just about impossible here. Apportionment means that each State must pay according to the percentage of the population that lives in that State. Can you imagine how a tax rate that has to be di...

I thought it was something new, I familiar with the debate. I find the theory of prehistoric human caused extinctions short on facts. Human population and migration timing vs mammoth population is much more estimation than science in my opinion. Then you still need to guess how much pressure human h...

Re: Cans that overlap the barrel?

You are working off a mostly false presumption. An expansion area to the rear of the muzzle does much less than baffles forward of it. I think improved mini silencer (non reflex) designs and difficulty with mounting space on shorter barrels and/or longer handguards makes reflex designs mostly obsole...

I'd like the 2A to be on par with voting. Any proposition or infringement on the 2A gets imposed on voting too. This is a great way to prove how unreasonable the "reasonable" restrictions are we already have to deal with to buy a gun. If it is so unreasonable to some poor people to need to get a fr...

Re: Gas system question...shortening barrel

Stag is the only rifle gas 20" 6.8 barrel that I know of. No 16" or 18" 6.8 barrels are made with rifle gas that I know of. I expect you will have function issues if you shorten the barrel, especially with lighter bullet weights and or faster powders. If you must shorten it to thread 5/8-24 I would ...

I use a 1mm x 10mm ID O-ring on the thread relief of 1/2-28.

If you think LE departments didn't learn something about supply after the first Obama election you probably have a bunch of mags on backorders right now...

Training and duty ammo is ordered by many departments as far in advance as possible.

Re: Mystic handles fullauto supersonic 300BLK but just 223 s

volume of gas has a lot to do with it. 55k PSI out of 7.62 is a lot more gas than 55k PSI out of 5.56 No. Chamber pressure is 55k for both, but muzzle pressure is what the silencer is exposed to. Muzzle pressure is less for the 300 BLK because it has a larger bore to expand into and faster powder.
