Re: Moving with suppressors

So another similar question, regarding cans specifically . A "what if" situation... What if one purchased their can with and have it registered to a LLC and then need to move to another state? It's been stated that no 5320.20 is required for a can when moving permanently from one state to ...

Moving with suppressors

I've searched the boards but am having trouble coming up with an answer. I currently own some suppressors and am about to move from one suppressor friendly state to another suppressor friendly state. I filled out and received my approved 5320.20 for my other NFA items but I believe that the 5320.20 ...

WTB: Threaded barrel for Sig Mosquito

I'm looking for a Gemtech Mosquito barrel in 1/2x28 but would consider a Sig factory threaded barrel or other alternative.

had you taken a look down the bore of the three firearms in question prior to use? It's usually a good idea to confirm allignment visually. I didn't, actually I wasn't even firing it. I took a friend from England to the range. I set it up and let him shoot it while I was loading up some mags in the...

No wobble. In fact, all the flash supressors are blue loctited in place. are you talking about blue loctite 242? you should be using the rocksett instead of blue loctite. even the loctite high temp 266 is only rated for 450 degrees F. the heat from the barrel/suppressor will loosen the bond between...

Check out the flash supressor when putting on the can an see if it woobles. It may have gotten bent causing it to not line up streight. I agree with the last post looks like multiple strikes. No wobble. In fact, all the flash supressors are blue loctited in place. There is no wobble at all. The onl...

Wow... contact AAC and ask them where/how to send the can in to them for inspection. They will obviously need the can sent to them for a damage assessment and go from there. I think that is the obvious first step. Secondly, try to figure out your ammo problem! Something must've been way off... that...

Had a baffle strike on my can, what should I do?

Went to the range yesterday and had some fun. I didn't notice until tonight when I was putting everything away but I took a chunk out of the end of my suppressor. I put some pics below. Other than the end cap being chewed up, it looks like there may be some minor damage to the last baffle. I can't s...

I haven't tried the 6.8 but I have an M47-2000 (m4-2000 in 7.62x39). I was told by AAC that the difference in loundness would be 3-5 db. I haven't tried it in 7.62x39 yet (but I will this weekend) but it is pretty darn quiet with 5.56. The first time I tried 22LR I wasn't sure if the gun was functio...

Mine are definately NOT loose. Even brand new, they had to be taped out kinda hard to remove them.

Old news but....I just took, my brand new tac 65 apart. The gas holes were stagered at 90 degrees in a spiral shape. I'm either going to put them back at 90 degrees or try them at 120 degrees (1/3 around). this makes more sense to me than the 75 degrees because the holes are more stagered. I think i...

How do I get my Tac 65 apart?

I picked up my Tac 65 a few weeks ago so I haven't gotten around to shooting it yet. I want to take it apart and check out the inards. I've got the endcap tool but I just can't seem to get either cap off. I tried heating it with a propane torch, still no go. Should I be turning counter clockwise or ...

You are using photobucket, right? Just cut and past the 3rd line of text below your pic on the photobucket page. It should read "......" or something like that.

I am in need of an AAC M4-2000 Flash hider, new or used. It must be compatible with a Heavy Barrel AR-15. Not all fit the heavy barrel, if you aren't sure we can figure it out if you can accurately measure the inside diameter of the sleeve at the back of the flash hider. Email me if you have one. Th...
