Re: Subsonic Ammo for B&T GHM45/APC45
According to this chart: http://www.ballistics101.com/45_acp.php, 185gr +P .45acp should only be getting 1000fps, so you should be good unless you are REALLY overcharging the cartridge.

Re: Best suppressor for MP5 on trilug mount?
BTW- I also have an AAC TiRant 9 that is back at AAC getting repaired (K baffle broke). I have pistons for the Octane 45/45K for 16mm LH (Kriss Vector), .578x28 (45acp handguns) and 1/2x28 (9mm handguns). The plan was as follows, but I'm asking because I'm not sure my plan is the best route to take:...

Best suppressor for MP5 on trilug mount?
I have a couple MP5 clones that have trilug mounts. I am currently running a 45 Octane with Griffin Armament trilug adaptor. It is a really great can and suppresses really well. However, I have a few cans incoming: Omega 9K (any day now) Octane 45K (a ways off) Octane 9 (a ways off) I'm planning to ...

Re: Griffin. 45 three lug system
I just got in the Griffin Revo 9 three lug adapter for my Octane 45. It is PERFECT!! Adds VERY little length to the can.

Re: Who's not using a suppressor for shtf?
I probably won't. At least, not until I get back to the homestead. I'll probably be at work, or worse - out of town on business - when the balloon goes up. My SHTF story will be my trek back to those I love. That trek will be made with my gear I keep loaded in my truck at all times, which does not i...

Re: What's your SHTF rifle and/or pistol?
When I responded to this thread eight years ago, my situation was much different. I now live at my bug out location, so my efforts are now focused on getting home in such an event. So my GET HOME firearms are different than what I would choose to go out with if standing in front of my steel toy box....

Templar?
I am considering a Templar Nemesis 30 to use on a 300 Blackout SBR and a 16" .308win boltgun.
Does anybody have experience with this company or it's suppressors?

Re: Conjugal visits?
You'll even buy more hosts so you can buy more silencers. I'm already considering the fact that my newly purchased Sparrow .22 can is rated for 5.7x28! PS90 SBR? FN Five7? "Rated for" and "work excellently" aren't the same thing. I'd recommend you keep the 22lr on 22lr and proba...

Re: Conjugal visits?
Good point! The heat mirage coming off the can was also significant! I was missing a LOT more of my shots than I am used to. Probably because I was just giddy with excitement over shooting my new toy!

Re: Conjugal visits?
I've had an AAC M4-2000 (5.56) and Pilot (.22) since 2007. I managed to stick with just those two for these last 7 years. Now I have another .22 can, a .30 cal can, and this 9mm can in jail waiting on paperwork, with plans on a .45 can!

Conjugal visits?
So, I purchased an AAC TiRant 9 a few weeks ago from a local shop. The shop also opened a shooting range just outside town. I hadn't made the trip out there yet, but when I bought the suppressor, they said I could have CONJUGAL VISITS out at the range, not just looking at it in the shop! They only a...

I suppose the drop is considerable, as it is moving so slowly, but only losing 200fps at 1000yds is amazing!

Re: Checking for concentric threads
How does one "measure" for concentricity?
I plan to take this setup to my gunsmith to have him look at it, but I wanted to check as much as I could myself so I don't waste his time.

Checking for concentric threads
I have a recently acquired M85 which I want to suppress. I bought an adapter (I know, the 'A' word) to go from 26mm LH to 5/8x24. I would have gone all the way to 1/2x28, but they didn't have any available, and the 5/8x24 51T mount cost the same as a 1/2 x28 mount, so who cares? I picked up the moun...

CNC Warrior sells the same adapters for half the cost.
I just got my adapter (26 LH to 5/8x24) for my M85.

Re: AAC Pilot v. Silencerco Sparrow
It's a fantastic, especially with the Blackdog Machine holster!
The suppressor hangs out the bottom a little, but otherwise it is a great way to carry a suppressed pistol afield!

Re: AAC Pilot v. Silencerco Sparrow
Weight and diameter is very apparent when holding them side by side, but I don't notice the weight difference when shooting them. Good to know! They ARE noticeably different in that regard. I almost went with the Warlock for that reason, but decided I didn't really care about the weight, as it was ...

Re: AAC Pilot v. Silencerco Sparrow
SRI no longer "jailbreaks" .22 cans that have been fired.
What a great service to offer! I hope they start doing it again, but I suppose they stopped because their time could be more profitably spent elsewhere...
