Re: Feedback on .22 Mono-core design

Looks much lighter then the last ones. Probably more effective sure to volume increase. Symmetry should maintain accuracy and minimize poi shift. If you don't mind me asking, why are you doing a monocore instead of a baffle stack? I was planning on doing a monocore for my first build but the more I...

I appreciate the responses. twodollarbill: Thanks for posting your build. I've probably looked at your build thread about 50 times over the last few months. It is extremely helpful because it gives details of how you ported the barrel and the velocities of different cartridges because I don't have ...

Re: AMAZING RESULTS WITH "THE DIP"!!!!!!!

Go to a chemical supply store and get a gallon of 30% hydrogen peroxide dilute that 50% with h2o then mix with vinegar, it will boil!
If the can is really caked up change the mix every 12 or so hours until clean. I've had to change the mix as many as 5 times until clean, and it will get there.

Re: Leidenfrost Effect for Next Generation Baffle Surfaces?

Honestly it's hard to imagine anything that would revolutionize silencer designs. While there are many distinct challenges involved the general physics is well known. The heat and fouling involved also limits both usable materials and the design . Yeah, it's all about volume. Projectile noise can b...

Thanks. Do you suggest downloading the card and printing on card stock? Or something else? I can buy 50-packs from Amazon. I wonder what I'd do with the other 49 cards ... :) The cards need to be supplied by law enforcement.(Finger print cards)you'll see when you get it done. I have done it at the ...

I'm getting an appointment with my sheriff to review my first Form 1. I expect to take my drivers' license and carry permit as ID. Besides the Form 1 itself, what else should I take? I'm in Indiana, though I don't know how much difference that makes. Thanks! Take the form 1 filled out and finger pr...

Re: Single point threading titanium tube

A trick that I learned for hitting the mark to engage the half nut is to keep back from the part quite a ways. When the mark gets close, lock the nut. If you missed, then you have room to open it up, back off a bit and try again. Once you get it right, allow the cut to be made, you just have to wai...

The lathe i bought is a sherline, and it is mandatory to cut threads by hand by attaching a handwheel to the spindle and leaving th...
