Re: 762 Saker on SilCo website

Silencer Shop is saying you guys aren't making these until April? Maybe I should have gotten in on that group buy... I'm worried about timeline (41P) if these aren't even getting put on Form 3s until after April sometime...

Re: 762 Saker on SilCo website

Awesome! Luckily, Silencer Shop offered me the option of buying just the can with endcap, so I can buy the Y Mount whenever it is available, which I'm sure will be before I see a stamp back even if eFiled. That'll help me hide the total cost from my wife, too...

Re: 762 Saker on SilCo website

Henry- I'm on the waiting list for one of these over at Silencer Shop, but wanted to make sure that the YHM style mount will: a) be available in the next 6-8 months, and b) fit the legacy 762 mounts (that is, not only fit on the 556 and new LT style mounts, but on any/all) SS said you guys were maki...

Re: How do I create a will so my NFA item stays in familly?

Some states (WI being one of them) don't have laws against perpetuity, meaning that a trust can literally go on owning property with successor trustees using them forever.

That was more a comment on him being an enigma than anything. He's always seemed sublimely intelligent to me, but I assumed he got into the game by getting into trouble when he was younger. Book/cover and all that...

LOL YB = YellowBullet. It's a hardcore drag racing tech and general BS'ing forum. There's a guy that knows fuel injection stuff really well that posts there and a couple other places as "dieselgeek," so... just wondering.

Re: What paperwork do you take to the range?

Here is WI I also keep a Form 4 copy in my can pouch (thanks Battlecloth!). I got an opinion from the WI legislation's lawyers that basically says "yes, being papered is an affirmative defense and therefore, you can be arrested for possession even if you have your papers with you, but it's prob...

Re: still confused about trust

Just make a spreadsheet in Excel (or open office, whatever) for a Schedule A, and then hand-write property in as it is added to the trust. So long as you reserved the right to amend your trust as grantor/settlor, the page numbering doesn't matter, as it can change as you amend it. I actually didn't ...

Re: Target Marketing FAIL

I just love it when the enemy wastes resources. But as Robb Allen points out, what are they going to do, post this on an anti-gun enthusiasts' forum? Go the the anti-range and have anti-fun with their anti-friends while we get first time shooters out to have fun with NFA toys at the range? It's a ba...

Hey Jason - the wife wants to know why she can't "tag us" on your facepage or whatever. I'd complain about OPSEC but you've already got my name on my rifle case in hi-res on Facebook already, and that's nobody's fault but mine... Seriously, though, there are some great pictures o...

Re: SILENCER SHOOT Saturday Raffles ONLINE WINNERS

Yeah I was wondering about re-donating it, too. I'm not sure how that works for something like this; would Remington Defense just add their cost of the rifle to the check for the charity? We usually do that for charity auctions around here, but I can't say I've ever bought tickets for something so f...

Re: SILENCER SHOOT Saturday Raffles ONLINE WINNERS

LOL we're loser buddies! That's okay because if my math is right that was about $10-12K worth of gun and I don't have 20% of that for the Feds; I would have had to borrow the cash and then sold it to build something more in my price range.

The number was 646021. It is forever burned in my memory because I was standing in front of the stage with numbers 646028-646032, and my heart literally stopped for a few moments as the numbers were read. Admin delete this if I shouldn't have said anything.

LOL I'm home now but was posting from my Kindle. There was a PC in the lobby I used for mapping out BBQ on Sunday, too. The hotel was great, especially for the T1G sooper-seekrit price! We turned in around 2100; we left home at 0300 yesterday and did Beale St. in the evening. B.B. King' place had a good band on and the ribs were alright. s--t for beer selection, though! Headed to T1G now!
