Re: Dip question
I reuse my dip. I think of it like the solvent in a parts washer. Just extend the dip time. What are people using for dip? I use Ed's Red for my dip. fairly cheap to make and I can refresh it by adding more acetone when it evaporates out. I make it without the lanolin. ed's red link http:://www.hand...

Re: Knock holes in this idea, please
DH- Thanks, that is the kind of holes I'm talking about. My first concern is alignment, as recoil can be a bit stout with the 458. The barrel is a heavy stainless so I'm not overly worried about the finish. Any hard data on how much suppression is lost (for lack of correct vocabulary) with an over-b...

Knock holes in this idea, please
What I am looking for is reasons this would not work. This would be my first attempt at building a can and have not started anything but the skull sweat. The can would be for a .458 SOCOM. What I am thinking is to make a 2 point mount that the front point and blast baffle attaches to the bbl threads...

Re: Ban Him?
I voted no ban. The man's an ignorant, self serving, self involved, attention starved asshat, but he has the right to do as his convictions direct him. I may not agree with what he says but I will defend his right to say it. With that being said, he should be taken out in the parking lot and left in...

I have a 7.5" 6.8SPC set up as a PDW. Have not gotten the can for it, but it is on the list of stamps to get. I use a RR LE Entry stock on it. Very reliable, minute of head out to about 100m, minute of man out to about 250m. OAL is a shade over 23". Have not had a FTF or FTE yet and I've r...

FS/T Beretta 92fs factory SS threaded bbl assembly
Never fired threaded barrel assembly for the 92fs. This is a stainless steel factory barrel I purchased from Tornado Tech a couple of months ago. It has been installed and the action hand cycled, but never fired. Comes with thread protector and is ready to drop-in. I have lost the little plastic bag...

Deal struck! Thanks tomz34.
Still looking for about 100 more 10mm Mag cases.
Or... .338 Spectre head-stamped? can't afford Quality Cartridge's price.
Thanks.

+1 on the no penetration, but who would want to take a load or two in the chest at close range? I imagine it would be like getting hit with a hammer. Anyone with this experience like to enlighten us?

Re: Pistol AR vs. SBR Legality Questions
I'm not trying to be an ass, but -- If they are the manufacturer why don't you have them register it as a SBR to begin with? I did this with AGP Arms out of Arizona last time I bought a rec'vr. They only charged me an additional $20 for registering it that way, and $20 is less than I would have had ...

LOL - That is due to the fact that the ATF can recite your trust from memory. Not many have a stamp collection like yours, we just want to.
