Re: Multi caliber SBR questions

Just pick a caliber and bbl length for your first build. You don't need to tell them what other configurations you plan to use. You do, however, need to be able to return the rifle to the registered configuration. Length does not matter, aside from being <16". You can put any length bbl on it,...

Re: Getting the sheriff to sign?

There are no pros to going the CLEO signature route . Just by going to the sheriff's office you've already exposed your personal hobby and cool toys. A Trust in and of itself has all the advantages over the Individual application. So I don't consider the cost and process of setting up a trust as a ...

Per Marty, pistol location, .125" diameter will get you the best flexbility with all loads. We were talking about a 12" barrel, though.

Oh well ... hind sight is always much better than future forecasting ! My neighbor was registering auto sears whenever he had spare cash, back before the cut-off date on registration. Re: Disapproved form 1

It has been known that you can't have MULTI as a specified caliber for an SBR for almost 5 years now. The problem is that Title1 marking requirements for caliber are different than Title2 marking requirements for caliber. Most barrels are engraved with the caliber info so it wouldn't have needed to...

Re: Custom Liberty 300Blk SBR Can

Ok, I'm wondering why the beer cans are so rare. Seems like everyone makes them long and skinny which makes no sense to me since a beer can is about as wide as the gun anyway. So I don't see the advantage of the skinny. The long on the other hand makes indoor maneuvers cumbersome. I have a beer can...

Re: Stripped AR Lower to Pistol to SBR to Suppressor

The easiest thing I've found, is situate the Rx (with the butt-stock mounted, and fully extended) perpendicular to the floor or bench or whatever you are measuring off of. Make sure it is plumb to whatever surface you are setting it on, and measure up to the center of the front take-down pin hole. ...

So I got curious. After thinking about this, I think its good to go but I want to get you guys expert opinions. So I'm SBRing a MP5. I want to keep it as original as bread loft. Could I engrave ANYWHERE on the receiver? Could I engrave where it would require an accessory to be removed to see? Prett...

Re: NFA trust vs. Quicken (I have no heirs besides wife)

I've searched around and found plenty of pro's and cons concerning the DIY approach using an attorney. The trouble is, most of the problems associated with the 'quicken' approach concern the legal ramifications of passing on the items to an heir. I'm married with no kids. I don't currently have any...

Re: Got my first form back / ATF doctored it!

That's a good question, regarding an SBR, is it still considered Title 1 while in Title 1 "form"? Say for instance you have an AR pistol, you are going to SBR it so you send off the form 1. Form 1 is approved, in hand. The AR is still in pistol form, no stock on it. Is it now considered T...

OK already run into a dis-similarity trying to use AR style form 1 compared to this build.... Savage receiver only has a Serial number marked on the frame. NO model number, NO Caliber.. Should I have these added to the receiver when I engrave my trust information? I realize the barrel may be marked...

Re: AR-15 SBR, engraving question.

Congrats on your new stamp! You need to engrave your full name, city and state. You don't need to engrave 300BLK on it. Your receiver is the SBR not your barrel. Does your barrel have the serial number you registered the SBR as on it? NO, your receiver did. That's why you have to engrave there! Eng...
