Re: rule changes
An interesting mix of new pro-gun laws was just sent to the KY Governor in a consolidated bill that was passed overwhelmingly by both the House and Senate. One provision is a mandate that CLEO sign off on any NFA application within 15 days unless the applicant is a prohibited person. I can't imagin...

Re: Does your dealer sign box 10 before you receive your for
Yes to the box 10 question. But I've never had one want to mail the forms for me... Why do they want to mail the forms? Don't know, control I suppose to ensure in their opinion everything is sent correctly. @ least 1 would let me mail if I picked the forms up again after completion. But that's not ...

Does your dealer sign box 10 before you receive your forms?
I've used a couple different dealers locally and both prepare the form 4's and mail them to me. However, neither signs in box 10 until I bring the forms back and give to them to mail.
Is this SOP? It's obviously a hassle #1 to bring them back & #2 I'd rather mail them myself.

Re: How much do you really like your M11/9?
It doesn't look like they are as great a value these days. The prices have really shot up in the last couple months, I guess due to the increasingly availability of choice in uppers. I guess there is still not much else to consider in the price range, but NFA prices in general have gone up quite a b...

Re: Silencers on the daily show
Question is, would you ever voluntarily take part of a TV/radio program where you have no respect/ no regard for their past "work". For example, would you ever accept an interview on a topic that matters to you on, say, the Rachel Maddow show? I don't think I would. I think it depends on ...

For in state move, as has been said just send a letter. Eventually they will send a response. For out of state use 5320.20.

Re: Finished my Skorpion SBR
Since there was some discussion in this thread about 922r parts I figured I would give you a quick tutorial on making your own. In this case, I'll show you how to make the magazine floorplate for the skorpion magazines. The magazine follower is made with a similar technique - except for some more b...

Re: Finished my Skorpion SBR
Well for starters, czechpoint-usa has been selling a sbr version with a threaded barrel for quite some time. It went away when they stopped selling the vz-61 altogether. CDNN has their remaining stock (of pistols). I have a friend with one of their factory sbrs. Second, they have been providing ins...

Re: Med School Class day at the range
Yeah....i go there once in awhile. I'm on the northside of town, so it takes me nearly an hour to get to Knob Creek. Plus....they ain't called the wild bunch for no reason. I'm trying to find a smaller range to take my 6 and 8 year olds to. You are right though...that is the happiest place on earth...

Re: should a suppressor unscrew when shooting?
I always check my suppressor after shooting each mag to ensure it's not backing off. Occasionally, either the can or the mount will start to become loose. I presume this could cause a baffle strike if it gets loose enough. Is this normal? I can't think of anyway to prevent it aside from loctite, wh...

Re: Moving with supressors?
If you do not receive a letter back from the ATF they didn't update the database. Thats the only way you know the database has been updated. The 5320.20 is approved by looking at a chart and making sure the end location doesn't have any bans or whatnot that would prevent the travel to that location...

Re: How often do you clean?
Well good tip thanks.
I had cleaned it an hour or so earlier. So I just now gave it a 2nd thorough cleaning to remove any remaining hoppes on it (hopefully no harm done). I'll pick up another product this weekend.

How often do you clean?
I just received my first suppressor, so I'm trying to soak in all the knowledge I can. The 'instructions' that came with it (Thompson Machine Isis) recommend cleaning every 100-150 rounds. In browsing/searching I came upon silencerco's site and they state that there is no need to regularly clean the...

Strap wrench is your new best friend! And also (and I'm not trying to be a dick) make sure you are unscrewing it the correct way! :D Thanks for the tip. I hadn't heard of one of those, but I'll order one now & give it a try. & yes on screwing the right way, had to think about it since the t...

having trouble disassembling Thompson Machine Isis
Brought my Isis 9 home today. Quite happy with it, hope to get it to the range this weekend. But I wanted to take it apart to give it a good cleaning prior to use. The baffles unscrew easily. However, I can't get the recoil booster to unscrew. Is there a special tool or trick to getting it to come a...

What diameter suppressor will the stock USP SD sights clear?
Will the stock USP SD sights clear a 1.38" diameter suppressor?
I wasn't able to find any discussion on 1.25" v. 1.38" suppressors as far as clearing the stock tall sights.
