Re: The Dip w/ pics

Silly question, why why wouldn't you have just stopped after light scraping with the knife? Isn't cleaning a can all about getting the extra volume back that the residue has taken away? Looks like you got a lot out with probably less than 10 minutes worth of work and no toxic mess. Aren't (slightly)...

Re: Can I do this? (Baffle swap)

That was my guess - and going with the whole "If you have to ask..." line, probably can't be that easy. I don't have a donor can in mine, but I know a lot of folks want the SS baffles so I'm sure a local post offering up the trade would generate interest. Of course posting up something of ...

Can I do this? (Baffle swap)

Looking for some advise.

I've got a HTA guardian with stainless baffles and I want aluminum baffles.

If I were to find someone local that wanted to swap, is that legal?

Re: How often do you clean take-apart suppressors?

I never clean my cans. I always feel like an outcast in discussing this because I get strange looks, but I just don't do it. It seems this disassemble-able can thing really took off 5 years or so ago, and now pretty much everyone seems to include how easy it is to clean in their priorities. The only...

Warlock II: solid, but aluminum .22 cans suck in general GA Reece: Never heard of them. That should tell you something if they have been around a while. Sig: None of these are in the wild yet. Their .22 can metered loudly compared to the competition when tested by SilencerShop, though their test ri...

Re: 9mm FTE issue

You should still be able to run it like a Glock - although suppressed shooting will dirty it up quicker. What barrel are you using? I'd make sure the booster is reasonably clean. I shoot my 147gr's loaded with 3.3gr of Titegroup at 1.15", no problem out of my Glock 19 w/lone wolf threaded barre...

Re: Need help choosing a new suppressed SWAT rifle

We chose a system! When it was all said and done, our department funded the purchase of Noveske shorty lights with switchblocks. We are using AAC M4 2000 cans with them. Has anyone have any thoughts or experience with this set up and face gas? I've got the exact same setup. http://i296.photobucket....

Re: pre-coating aluminum baffles in a 22LR can?

I'd put some anti sieze around the outsides of the baffles where they meet the tube, and on the threads. It will make disassembly easier. I wish I had done that with my Tac65 - only shot about 300 rds then learned of this technique. @ 300rds, it was still a bitch.

Hows taking this thing apart after shooting say 500-1000 rds through it? Looking at the design, only one end is removeable, correct?

Thinking about getting one of these, my LGS has a few of em.

Good stuff guys, ty. I have the BCM CH's on all my AR's and love them, sooo, sounds like I'll keep that up. Also, ty Desertrat for the lefty comment, I'm a lefty shooter as well. I'll see how well the GFCH works and add RTV as necessary. I like the look of that brakeout a lot - I was worried about t...

Good info, ty. I had thought about the 7.62SD - but truthfully, I reallllly dont see myself getting into 30 caliber stuff soon. Havent taken my .308 bolt gun out in ages, and dont see a 300blk, 6.8, or other caliber moving to my AR's. I'd really love to hear a gun with a 762SD and M4-2000 back to ba...

SBR/M4 2000 plan...insight plz :)

Well, after a rimfire and a pistol centerfire can, I've been wanting to get into the centerfire game.. I know this platform is a common one, but just looking for some advice/reassurance. I'm waiting for my SBR stamp - going to be building a 10.5" SBR AR15 and using the M4-2000 suppressor. The o...

Re: Just got my Multimount9!

Where did you shoot it? Did you take into account sound reflecting surfaces like walls or treelines? Bullet flight and impact from a 9mm is loud to the shooter but any ear witnesses will shrug it off as a nailgun. Did you try your MM with 5cc's water? I was just coming on here to mention that firem...

Great info guys, thanks. I took her out and shot it today... It seemed louder than I imagined it would be. It was hearing safe, but honestly, not by much. I know it wont be as quiet as my .22 can, but I've heard from people, 9mm subsonic is pretty darned quiet. Mine did not appear to be that way. I ...
