Re: 200 Grain Maker Bullets Subsonics?

I've tried their 180grs 1:10" twist rate subsonics from my 1:10" bolt action, but they're no good.
Very inaccurate and keyholing at 50 meters.

Awesome!
Do they expand at subsonic velocities?

ASE-UTRA Jet-Z Comp. 30 cal

Tuukka, I'm planning to purchase the aforementioned model for a .308 with M18x1 thread.
Since the can goes over the barrel and my barrel is 22mm thick (Blaser Jaktmatch), can I use that model?

Thank you for your answer in advance!

Re: Headshots on deer - is that a smart thing to do?

When going for meat hunt - yes, that's all I'm trying to do. Head or neck shots. I apologize in advance for slightly graphic pictures. This was a roe doe @ approx. 100 meters. 6.5x55 SE, Barnes TTSX 100grs. http://img32.imageshack.us/img32/8681/doej.jpg And this little piggy went to the market... Sa...

Re: Hunting Hearing Protection (recommendations?)

Best thing since sliced bread!
I'm using it and I love it.
Excellent for driven hunts and high seat, especially during the winter when your ears are cold.

Re: 9.3x62 subsonic issue

Don;t have access to a stability calculator and hadn't intended to run them that slow. Where are you located? Europe? 250 gr TTSX should be able to go faster than that ... limited by bbl length? 9,3x62 does better w longer bbls. Isn't necessary though. Losing another 100 to 150 fps would put it in ...

Re: 9.3x62 subsonic issue

Did you try to run them through bullet stability calculator if they'd be stabilized at 1050 fps?

For wild boar driven hunts I use Barnes TTSX 250gn pushed by N150 to avg. speed of 2420 fps. from 22" barrel.

Re: 9.3x62 subsonic issue

Where can I get those cast bullets that you use? What about lead buildup in your suppressor? My rifle is brand new, I've put not even 20 rounds through it. A buddy of mine made a titanium suppressor for me and it works pretty good when I go subsonic. I'm a bit afraid to push full speed rounds throug...

9.3x62 subsonic issue

Hi there! I managed to push 320 grains Woodleigh RN with 22 grains of Trail Boss and get 1035-1065 fps. The issue I have is the first round which is much slower (around 300 fps) than the following ones. I read somewhere that it's a common thing with long barrels, mine is 22". I'm thinking of using s...

Re: Marauder question

I'm sold. Its a toss up between 22 or 25, and I am leaning towards the 25. I have to mail order everything as it is, and a tin of pellets will last me a long time. I am thinking of using it for urban use only when a firearm isnt legal. Best price i have found so far is $399. Is that about right? Yo...

Mounting a can

Hi folks! I have a hunting bolt action rifle in .308 caliber w/o open sights. I'm not really keen to cut a thread on the muzzle, so I'm wandering is there any other efficient/safe way how to mount a can without having the muzzle threaded? Any tips, diagrams, etc. would be highly appreciated! Cheers,...
