Re: Several questions about supressed AR15 for home defense.

Yeah, it's not going through the peripherals and penetrating the block. Shotguns are not optimal any way you look at it, but it is fun watching people desperately try. No one is going to "stop" a vehicle with arms this small. With good hits you can decrease its range to a few miles and sl...

Ive got 100 on a form 2 right now. 25 are titanium, the rest stainless. These are just .30 cans. Then again, that form 2 has been in since November! It has to be a new record. The form 3 was submitted simultaniously to Jamie, so the minute it clears Ill have one of the guys drive them down there. Il...

Pistol length, from the extension shoulder to the gas block shoulder is 3.7" Capt, basically just make it to where the gas tube sticks out past an installed extension 1.020".

Re: PRI adjustable gas block cannot shut gas off completely

Jared, all you need to do is run a bottoming tap into it and file the bottom of the screw so its a bit flater. In a couple minutes you can get it to shut off completely.

Re: 38 Super and the Octane 9???

You can shoot a 300 BLK through it which is a 220 at 1050fps, AND its a slower powder such as RE-7 and 1680. I would be shocked if it would handle that but not 38 super.

Re: Bought a Umarex MP5SD .22LR , Liberty Mystic

I just did one. Way more difficult than it should be. Crap flies everywhere if you take it apart wrong. Basically, you are going to have to make a press fit adaptor that is about 6" long. Well, I take that back, you can do one just like you would make an adapter for a small .22 pistol barrel, b...

Re: winsor in search ☼f the silence ...baffles design&modeli

Not all baffle designs are the same as far as how much blast chamber is needed, or calibers for that matter. Do you really know more than silencerco? Our aeriolo baffle (yea, thats what it looks like!) performs better, with very minimal frp if it has a comparatively long blast chamber.

Sweet, thanks for the words brother! Makes me sad, that was the last Tikka I built completely on a manual machine, before my injury jacked up my dominant eye and my dominant side. You have a special one! Ha! It's worth two peco's (sp) more than the regular ones!

Re: Liberty mystic+ruger 77/357 = 300 black killer

The .358 Delta has a slightly longer neck than the grimlin, which we did strictly for cast bullets, but after toying with it, I think the Gremlin would get just as good retention. It is a sweet round. Another reamer I am going to make when I am able is a .358 Spectre.

Re: Liberty mystic+ruger 77/357 = 300 black killer

Im not in good enough health to take on the work at the moment, but I do have a few very good match .358 SS blanks and the above mentioned reamers if you want a project. I also have a 35 Whelen reamer, which when filled with trail boss makes a sweet subsonic round. Its not near as good as the .358 D...

Re: Liberty mystic+ruger 77/357 = 300 black killer

I have a 6.5 grendel necked up to .358 with a lengthened throat to accomodate longer bullets for subsonic use. I also have a sizer die reamer for the same. If you get a gunsmith that I know and trust, Ill let you borrow it. it is a pretty cool round. You can also make the brass from x39, even steel ...

Re: Ex-CIA agent charged with leaking classified terror info

More and more people seem to believe that an oath isn't binding. I think that when a CIA agent takes a vow to shut the hell up he ought to keep his mouth shut. This is exactly what's wrong with this country. People's word isn't worth anything. I think you are right, but I also think that there are ...

How would you get the OD turned down concentric to start with, and how would you get a square shoulder? That with all the above mentioned, that device is a cheap way to make an expensive disaster.

Thompson Machine CHD (compact heavy duty). it is 1.5"x7" or so) and is very quiet. It looks perfect on an mp5 clone sbr or an AR. OOOOOR, if you want a can that looks like it fits on a black gun, just get a 9mm can that is servicable, like the Isis, tirant, or the can from Innovative arms....

Re: Army Going Back To Full Auto

Our company was clearing Al Fahdil, a portion of Saddar City in Baghdad in 07 when we had to stop a suburban with 5.56 fire during a firefight. 3 people fired on the vehicle and it stopped about 20yards away. Way too close. Fortunatly it didnt have any explosives on board. 7.62 would have been super...

Re: Army Going Back To Full Auto

Cmoore, not bustin balls at all, just curious as to how you view it from your standpoint, as I havent worked in that field. Of course the military does use 7.62 and larger for vehicle stops, but there are instances where we had to do it with 5.56 only. 100 yards is my range where I engage a vehicle a...
