Re: form 1 AOW

OK then if I can take a stock of a SBS, then SBS it is. I guess I better wait until I get to Montana before I do it so I don't have to deal with the "permission" BS.
It is legal to take my form 1 suppressor across state lines isn't it?

Re: form 1 AOW

I know the prices on these & that is why I am thinking about going with the AOW with detachable stock if possable. I think my 07/SOT will make the AOW for me then transfer it to me for the $5. But if I can't do that legally I guess I'll go with the SBS. Is there any restrictions on making a SBS ...

Re: form 1 AOW

I was thinking about a serbu type 12 gauge with a slot or a whole in the grip that a shoulder stock could be inserted & held in place with some type tension device. Or if that was not legal maybe the grip could be placed into the butt stock & clamped in place. this would keep the original fi...

Re: form 1 AOW

If I build an AOW can I put a "temporary" detachable stock on it? I have asked this question on another forum & got a no. I want to be clear here I don't mean a stock that would have to be "screwed" on to the receiver. I"m talking about a stock that was attached & de...

form 1 AOW

I was under the impression that the stamp to build a Form 1 AOW was $200 but while talking with some 07/sot friends that I know they said it was $5. I know the transfer fee is $5 but what is it to build one?

Re: Ares Breath Muzzle Brake

I'm a big fan of Ares Armor & buy from them as often as I can. Just what makes this brake so different for the others. I'm not a 07/sot, an engineer or even a machinist. I'm just a guy that love guns & I admire people that will challenge the status. Ares stood up to the ATF & is in a cou...

Re: Engraving a tube

I didn't make the stencil I got it from Dungeon Designs. From what I understand you draw up a design on your computer & copy it to disk. You can take that to a print shop that has a laser jet printer. it takes a certain type transfer paper. You can find that on line. You have to do the stencil i...

Re: Engraving a tube

I did it with mine. It's not fancy. I did it with a cell phone charger & some salt water. the letters did grow just a little but it still looks pretty good. You could try it on some scrap material & figure out just how big to make the stencil. Here it is a little beat up. I've been doing a l...

Re: Engraving a tube

why not do your own. It's easy, all you need is a cellphone charger some salt water & a template. You can get the template from dungeon designs over at weapons guild. If your really creative & have a publishing program & a laser printer you can make the template yourself. There are a lot...

Re: 300 AAC blackout suppressor. Looking for basic build inf

I am also interested in this line of designing suppressors for the 300 BLK. I have a 16" AR BLK & have a 10 1/2" barrel on the way. I would like to build a form 1 can more the SBR & am thinking of the reflex style where the can would extend back to the gas block & possibly use ...

fullauto parts in a parts kit?

if you get a parts kit that contains the full auto parts & have a receiver blank is it "constructive intent"?
or do you have to drill the receiver before I cross the line?

Re: Suggestions for more appropriate term for "assault weapo

the term "assault weapon" is appropriate . the problem is not the term. it's the miss use of which is a very deliberate smoke & mirrors show by the puppet masters. it's all a game of deceit led by the master manipulator. the problem is not what they call something. the name is meaningl...

Ethos, I built a can for my ARs in 5.56 & hope to build one for my 300 BLK ASAP. this is the first one for me, hell it's the first real project I ever built on a lathe. it's 316 stainless, 8" x 1.5" omega style thread on & I think it's pretty quite & accurate. the only issue wi...

Ken your in the warmer part of NM. I think it was 3 years ago it was 36 degrees BELOW! here. that was the coldest recorded in the US at that time. I live at 6'500 ft in the high plains & it gets down below 0 most winters & if that's not bad enough I'm planning to move to Alaska this ...

ken, where in NM do you live? I'm from the east mountain area. I'm not a machinist but bought a grizzly lathe mill combo about 3 years ago. I built a form 1 can for my Ar15s which I'm very proud of. it's an omega style out of 316 SS. I'm not a welder either & didn't think the can was the right p...

Re: TRUST QUESTIONS

I take it that the OAL would be with the stock extended. i guess putting my pistol upper on one of my rifle lowers wouldn't be the best way to measure.
also on 4a should I put the trust or my personal info & are finger print cards needed?

And exactly what country is this? To say that suppressors nd suppressor design is anything other than hard science is to not understand the sciences that you are dealing with. As far as Google sketch versus solid works. You don't know much about CADD either. From where I stand you sound like you ar...

First off...Madbear, you have been told this several times, you have chimed in on this very discussion in the past from other users. Sorry that you didn't like the answer. You can not have extra silencer parts. You can have an adapter similar to what TROS offers and thats it. B; read the fucking qu...
