Re: Question regarding accuracy when shooting suppressed
I don’t think a 12" POI shift is unusual at all. The OP didn’t give specifics on his rifle however if you have a relatively light contoured barrel longer than 22" with a fairly heavy can hanging off the end; then I would be surprised if you were still on paper after taking the can off.. Wi...

CB cap observation
Thought it interesting.... Ruger mkII with Liberty Kodiac TL. CB caps sound significantly louder than standard sub-sonic ammo... suspect it is due to the lack of gas. Any thoughts or similar rsults?

Re: Besides freeze plugs are there any other ready made baff
Very quiet. It is a John's Guns firearm, in case you cannot clearly see the engraving. Ha! yeah man, I can clearly see the fucking engraving! I didnt mention it because I guess I was a little shocked that those baffles were from a comercial manufactures can. but hey, if it works it works I guess......

Re: Dark Horse Arms Ruger 77/44
Bendersquint, I have checked out your web site and there isnt much info there... are your 77/44's going to be a main line item, or done as one-off custom projects? And price? How much (ball park) are they going to run?

Bendersquint, describe your version of the suppressed 77/44 please. Barrel lenght? Ported? Twist? baffles? Monocore? material? user servicable? one stamp gun or two? for what its worth (yeah, i know....nuthin) my idea of the ideal 77/44 is with a 10" fast twist (1-10") non-ported stainless...

Dark Horse Arms Ruger 77/44
does anyone have any experience with this company and Brent the owner? I am considering having a intergrally suppressed Ruger 77/44 built. as a side note, his wife told me that they bought the company from John Tibbetts back in 2005. I have tried to locate Tibbetts to see if he is still building the...

Re: Milk of magnesia to ease suppressor disassembly?
I have used M of M as a very high temp anti-seize in aerospace aplications, however I have not tried it in a suppressor. just so you know, it simply seems to turn to chalk at high temps. I think if it were me, i would try C5-A... it should work pretty good, albeit a bit messy...

regardin the .44 rounds with heavy bullets, you can always use .44 special brass and seat to the crimp grove and still fit the ruger mags. provided of course that it leaves you the powder space needed for your chosen load....

Re: interested in a big bore subsonic rifle
best thing to do about lead in your barrel is to use the correct lead alloy so that you dont have leading to begin with! No chore boy padds needed! if you are leading up at low pressure, most likely you are running an alloy that is way to hard. Try casting your bullets out of pure lead, with maybe 2...

actually, it is damn near impossible to get that s--t to ignite without a hot flame and some shavings.. infact i think you need to be in the neighborhood of 500 C to get it to go. I have machined and worked with this crap for years, even burning up scrap pieces on the beach from time to time. the bi...
