An NXS with that magnification is way overkill on a 300 blk in my opinion. That scope will handle ranges outside your own personal shooting ability, regardless of the platform.
But hey, if that's what you want, it's a fantastic optic that won't let you down.

Re: 40mm tubes and breaching shotguns
40mm and 12ga underbarrel mounts don't have anywhere near enough recoil to be an issue whatsoever.

Re: Industry Accuracy Testing Is Non Existent!
If I put brand X suppressor on a known accurate rifle, will it lose accuracy? If the barrel is threaded correctly then adding a suppressor should only affect the POI shift. I have many cans from many manufacturers as well as my own manufactured cans and NONE of them impact accuracy in a negative wa...

Re: Best 50 cal suppressor?
The AAC is the quietest can I have shot on a .50. You might also check out the Barrett QDL suppressor. I was pretty skeptical of the looks of it at first, but it's actually pretty effective. It isn't as quiet as the AAC to my ears, but the brake at the end of the suppressor really does help reduce r...

Re: Looking for ideas for Small pocket pistols with Suppressor
The Bobcat 21a with a Thompson Machine Wasp suppressor is about as compact as it gets. You can fit the entire setup in a decent sized pocket, such as an interior coat pocket.

I've never had an issue running thousands of supers and subs out of my 9" upper, and its accuracy is surprising.

There's nothing quite like having a couple A10s for CAS, I love those things. They may be slow and loud, but they are beautiful when they're at work.

Eley Subsonic .22
Has anyone here used Eley subsonic .22 ammo with a can? I typically use CCI Quiet rounds for hunting which are incredibly quiet, but my local ammo store only has some of these Eley subs in stock. How do they compare noise-wise to the CCI Quiets?

Re: 223 Gold Dot on Deer
We were supposed to get the 77gr overseas but it just didn't happen, had to live with the 62s in my M4. I mainly used the M24 though, and used the suppressed M14 off and on. We were also supposed to get M110s too, but I missed out on that one also before I was medivac'd out and discharged... I did g...

Re: 300 blk vs .308
I have made several consecutive hits at 700m with my AAC 9" upper. It's obviously not designed for that range, as the groups are pretty spread out at that distance and energy is depleted, but it is possible.

Re: 223 Gold Dot on Deer
The deer I hunt here are typically 100-150 pounds max, and most every shot is within 100m. With these deer at close range, the 75 grain frangible has made an ethical kill 100% of the time. However, I am not hunting the 300 pound deer up north, nor am I shooting any distance. If the animals were any ...

Re: 223 Gold Dot on Deer
I'm with you on the living creature thing, and I read Joker's post as well. However, I think the critical factor here is that we are comparing two totally different purpose-built rounds that are of the same caliber. While both are being used on live creatures, one was purposefully designed to cause ...

Re: 223 Gold Dot on Deer
How the combat efficiency of a 5.56mm FMJ got mixed into a deer hunting post with heavier fragmenting or bonded expanding bullets is beyond me. I have spent thousands of 5.56mm and 7.62mm FMJ rounds overseas, and I am well aware of FMJs' shortcomings on humans. However, change the bullet, the range ...

Re: 223 Gold Dot on Deer
They are the TAP FPD bullets, and with every bullet wound I've inspected, the bullets fragmented into several pieces after passing through the ribs. The internal wounds are nasty, turning the vitals into mush with all the fragmentation. Over-penetration is a concern where I hunt, which is why I opte...

Re: POI Change?
The change in harmonics is causing the POI to shift when you go from suppressed to unsuppressed, or vice versa. All that extra weight hanging off the end of the barrel absolutely affects the POI. Hang a 2 pound weight off the end of you barrel and see what happens to your POI. The consistency of you...

Re: open-carry-interaction-w-police
I find it interesting that the maps shows AR as a gold-star open carry state, while there is no definitive law emplaced regarding open carry. This has caused a lot of dispute in the local media over the past few years, and it is essentially up to each police chief, sheriff and judge as to how they p...
