Re: Question About Shim Orientation on Brakeout
Thanks, Jason. So it's not typical to use all of the shims?

Question About Shim Orientation on Brakeout
Sorry this is so long but I want to be as detailed as possible so as not to have to respond 50 times to further explain what I have done. I installed the 51t AAC Brakeout on my Remington 700 AAC rifle. I followed the instructions exactly as they were written. I cleaned the threads on the host and th...

Re: 565 yards 12.5" AAC M4-2000 POI shift
Why is it more impressive that it was shot w/ a 12.5" barrel? Because of the longer flight time to the target? Shorter the barrel the harder it is to achieve accuracy. A 7" won't be as accurate as a 20" Actually a shorter barrel is more accurate than a longer barrel due to the barrel...

Form 4 Question - box 2a
My class 3 dealer has my suppressor and mailed me my form 4's pre-filled out and signed. I failed to remind him that I have a trust and he did not include the name of my trust in box 2a, it simply states my name. Everything on the form is typed out except his signature. Can I use white out and hand ...

Re: Best Sound Reduction Suppressor for 300 BLK SBR
Thanks for the replies. I realize that my FH will only attach to an AAC ratchet mount suppressor, but if I remove it that should give me the ability to purchase any thread mounted suppressor. Are there any other suppressor manufacturers worth my time? What about pistol suppressors? Would a pistol su...

Best Sound Reduction Suppressor for 300 BLK SBR
I have an 8 inch Noveske AR15 rifle chambered in 300 AAC Blackout and I'm in the market for a suppressor in the $1k and under price range. This suppressor will be used specifically for this rifle and cartridge combination, no others. I'm primarily concerned with sound reduction and weight, but of th...

Re: 125 at Midway
some of them will be special purpose and have special requirements and and at a higher price.
What were the military's special requirements for this ammo? Is it a bonded bullet?

Re: AAC Blackout Brake vs. Flash Suppressor
Thanks, Jason. I understand that the N6 is strong enough to handle the 300 blk without a brake, but I have not seen anyone shoot a 300 blk rifle without a suppressor yet and I was wondering how the recoil is unsupressed. Sorry. I don't think I was very clear in the op. The weapon will probably see m...

AAC Blackout Brake vs. Flash Suppressor
I'm sure this has been discussed, however, the search function didn't turn up anything useful. I'm going to order a Noveske 8" upper in 300 blk and would like to hear some opinions on the blackout brake compared to the flash suppressor. I've ruled out the brakeout since it does both jobs, in my...

Re: Ingraving a SBR
Remember that if you have the marks placed on the barrel, your AR-15 won't be as modular. If the engraving is placed on the receiver you can put any upper on it so long as you keep the original to match the paperwork. And, if you want to change the caliber or barrel length in the future you can send...

Re: Ingraving a SBR
I sent my lower to Orion Arms. They had it back to me in a week and they did a great job. They also understand ATF regulations for engraving. Just follow their instructions and send in your lower via UPS. Who cares if the engraver is local so long as the work is done properly. Also, you should send ...

Re: 300 AAC Blackout SBR Upper 8" vs. 9"
The one thing about Noveske that I really like is choices. My sbr paperwork is en route to WV and I'm sure it will be months before it comes back, but in the mean time if I happen to change my mind at least I know Noveske has 3 upper choices in the same barrel length. AAC, at this time, only has 1 c...

Re: 300 AAC Blackout SBR Upper 8" vs. 9"
The Noveske upper is in stock on their website.

I just have to wait for my paperwork to come back from the ATF for my lower.

Re: 300 AAC Blackout SBR Upper 8" vs. 9"
Thanks liquidsniper!! Great information. I was hoping to get in touch with someone on here who had the Noveske upper. I agree that there really is no point to running subs unsupressed. The information provided by you takes care of my main concerns. I don't really think there is much of a difference ...

300 AAC Blackout SBR Upper 8" vs. 9"
I'm in the process of building an AR-15 SBR in 300 blk. I have narrowed my choices of uppers down to 2 contenders. The AAC 9" upper or the Noveske 8" upper. The end result will have an AAC suppressor attached and I would like to use subsonic and supersonic ammo through the suppressor. The ...
