Re: Out of state travel with SBR

Incorrect. They made a "safe passage provision" to the Firearm Owners Protection Act (FOPA) that allows you to travel THROUGH a state that doesn't allow such weapons as long as the item you are transporting is legal in the state it originates and the state you are traveling to and it is t...

Revisiting suppresser on a revolver question

OK, last time I posted about this you showed me the pix of the gas escaping from the cylinder where it meets the barrel. So, I get the message, revolver is not the ideal host. My question is, if a suppresser is put on revolver how much, if any, does it cut back on the noise? Does it cut in down noti...

Thanks.

So stopping overnight at a motel on the way to the final destination must be pre-planned and approved?

Notifying ATF about going out of state with MG?

I understand I have to notify the ATF if I take a MG (but not a silencer) out of state. How long a process is it to get approval from the ATF and what is the best way to do it? I live right near the state border. If I go to a friends house a couple miles over state line are they that tough about it ...

Do I take the washer off or leave it on?

I have a Ruger 22/45 MK III. When I remove the knurled muzzle protector there is a washer. Do I leave the washer on when I use the silencer or take it off?

Thanks

Do snub nose revolvers do any good with a silencer?

Do snub nose revolvers do any good with a silencer?

If so, is there an adapter one can use that mounts over and clamps to the barrel to allow the silencer to be threaded on?

Or how do I get a SW .22 threaded?

I'd be shooting subsonic or CB caps out of the gun.

Thanks!

Any major changes to the NFA laws?

I've been very busy and been away from the forum. Last time I was here they were talking about proposed new laws like getting trustees fingerprinted and checked out.

Has anything been done as yet? Or Is my 3 year old trust still good?

I'd like a compact, tactical case for an MP40. Anything out there to fit it? Thanks!

Re: Is there short summation of the new laws?

You may be correct and all pending trust apps are sent back for CLEO sign off even though the ATF has mentioned grandfathering those in process. However, regarding making people comply with new laws post approval is going to run into a legal problem. Article 1, Section 9, clause 3 of the US Constit...

Re: Is there short summation of the new laws?

Jim, when I bought my CL 3 I had to go through the same process of buying any other gun filling out the forms and showing ID. So the trust did not allow me to skip the standard gun buying paperwork laws that are in force. So why would the ATF think the current checks in force are not enough and the...

Is there short summation of the new laws?

I've been away from class 3 for a while. I checked back into the forum and started to read about major changes in the laws. Is there short summation of the new laws?

I have a few items out going on 9 months now (4 cans, 1 MG) Will there be any new laws that will affect my approvals?

Thanks

Re: What about them dudes that hacked up that Brit Soldier?

The killers were smart. They used cutting instruments for max brutality and a gun to ward off any unarmed heros that would try to stop them. Feel bad for the dead man, his young son and wife. I had heard the Muslims ran him down with the car, jumped out and started hacking him to bits while he was a...
