I like how they focused on Blowback.
Was very surprised at the low intro price considering their over priced AR's and parts.

You can't change the caliber and you can take it to a machine shop. only licensed manufactures can work on or recore cans.

Re: Help me on my quest for a quiet rifle
I have been on a quest to find a semi-auto rifle that is not a 22 and is possible to comfortably shoot suppressed. I'm looking for suggestions from others, I currently have a Sparrow, Octane 9 and Saker 762. So far I have tried a few different things but have been disappointed so far. I have a 4.5&...

Re: AeroPrecision Dedicated Suppressed 300 Blackout Upper
AP makes good stuff BUT that is pricey! With todays AR prices its much better to build your own or buy similar. I think you would have a tough time beating that price. After $1100 for the Omega, that leaves you $450 for the upper. $150 for a barrel, $100 for a receiver, $100 for a handguard, $100 f...

Re: Silencerco Octane HD vs AAC TiRant 9mm?
Get which ever one is in stock at your local dealer, unless you plan to shoot lead or 22lr through it. If you are then definitely get the octane. The Tirant is lighter and consistently performs 2-3 db quieter than the Octane 9 in head-to-head meter testing. ill take the sealed baffle stack and SS o...

Re: Searching for a .22 pump, bolt, lever, auto that will shoot shorts & LR
You could lower the tube to clear the can. I've shot shorts through my magazine fed suppressed Savage and they fed as long as you dont bump the mag around, I could also modify some mags for it but I find shorts useless. CCI "quit" blew all three brand boxes of shorts away in soun...

I'd like to see the vids also but they still won"t tell much unless a handfull of indipended tests are done in different enviroments. however I trust both companys for putting out accurate results. Infact Dave sounded VERY excited about his new Regulator and his tests are consistant. I still lo...

Re: Silencerco Octane HD vs AAC TiRant 9mm?
Octane all the way ,not only easy to clean but its stronger too. I use the Octane 9-45 rifle & pistol on 22lr up without worry of lead or weakness like aluminum core cans. however I would wait a little because I know Henry @ Rugged ( who designed the Octane and the better S-co stuff) should be c...

Re: AAC Pilot 2 or Silencerco Sparrow
I wouldn't even look at the pilot. The Sparrow has a first round pop on pistols ( a huge tun off for me) but on rifles very quiet. The Element still owns pistols for size and weight with SS guts. Don't even look at aluminum cores. The new Liberty regulator is supposed to be as quiet as the action wh...

Congrats ! I once lived in a state that finnally got approved and know how exciting it was.
Now I live in a state that allows everything and still hate shooting unsuppressed. sooooo, buy buy buy, you can always move to a free state if things get stupid.

Re: Suggestions for a new compact 9mm suppressor host?
I don't have a single problem with tilting barrels and a full size cans.
Keep it simple and proven, why buy an exentric gun just for a fixed barrel THEN have issues with high price conversions mags and parts?
Buy guns that already work. ( yes Beretta's work but not on my top 10 list)

I have found no need for spring kits and I DO use the Octane . I just use a 18lbs wolf springs for HV carry loads and suppressed. Works perfect and simple.

Re: .30 cal can.....decisions decisions
The Specwar, Rugged Surge, and Sandman with be your most "rugged " and quiet cans but if you aren't doing mag dumps you can get by with the TI cans.
Just factor if you want durability for some hosts and don't mind the extra weight.

Are you talking about the "Ruger American Ranch"? If so,, great rifle, best value out of the box hands down! 30 cal cans will be more quiet but I use my Octane 9 & 45 cans and 45 can with 9 end cap for easy cleaning of anything lead and sub sonic. I love Liberty but the Octanes are the...

Wow that is scary  yet impressive. And thats with a full stellite baffle stack correct? I wonder how much sooner inconel and stainless steel cans would fail. Looks more intricate to manufacture. What's the street price? Surprised on the weight but would be nice to see sound tests.
