45 Winchester magnum loads
I am trying to work up a subsonic load for a 45 win mag rifle with a 16” barrel. I would like to use the 300 gr XTP bullet. There is not much load data on this caliber. Anybody have info?

Uzi silencer question
I have a CAC45 on a full size Uzi. Right now I am using the can on a barrel nut insert. I was wondering if there would be better noise reduction if I would thread the barrel. That would move the silencer out a couple inches from where it is now.

Re: Subsonic Hunting Rifle Considerations
This was a doe shot at around 100 yds with a 300-221, 125gr Nosler BT, 1850fps MV. That is the exit wound. If there was any expansion, it could not have been much. It ran about 100yds and was dead when I got there. Very little blood, barely enough to track. My daughter shot a pig with the Blackout, ...

Re: What happens if a dealer goes out of business.
I got the call two days ago and picked my can up yesterday. Everyone I have talked to who had something pending with them got their stuff. Happy ending to this story.

Why does DHS need enough to fight the equivalent of a 24-year Iraqi war? Why did DHS buy 2,700 light armored vehicles?

Re: HIGH pressure in an Uzi
jreinke, my loads were with Federal SP primers but I had problems with several types of factory ammo as well. The primer pockets are loose, some of them would not even hold a primer. Pretty sure that the problem is high pressure for whatever reason, and I can't think of anything else besides the bar...

Thanks for the input. I figured I would probably have to get a new barrel, needed confirmation.

HIGH pressure in an Uzi
Just got a model A vector UZI smg. I took it out and had problems with high pressure in 9mm. I noticed it picking up the brass when I found some blown primers. This is happening with factory loads and reloads. I have shot Aguilla 124, Remington 115 and Winchester white box. All my reloads are on the...

Re: What happens if a dealer goes out of business.
"ATF will not get involved "it is a civil matter". " 66427vette, maybe you know. I was thinking about this. When it clears, I will be the registered owner of that can. I am not supposed to let anyclass III of my posession. Am I responsible for that suppressor? Should the ATF at l...

Re: What happens if a dealer goes out of business.
Chris88, different establishment, my dealer was in Lafayette. Your story sounds worse than mine. Hope things work out for you. I tried to look up 10-8 and their website is down. While I was on the computer I went and checked and my dealer's website is still up. I figured what the hell and called the...

Re: What happens if a dealer goes out of business.
An update on this. It is soon going to be six months since the ATF check was cashed(9/17). I tried a couple different ways to contact the dealer who has the can, with no success. I called the ATF and the application was sent to the examiner last week, so it should clear soon. I asked about the situa...

Wife noticing the hit to the savings account: Pending I sadly have this same issue with all of my NFA transfers... Figured I was not the only one who sneaked NFA stuff past the wife. What happens if a dealer goes out of business.
Got to ask, as a friend and I have cans pending at a dealer and for the last couple of weeks we have not been able to contact them. Answering machine initially, but just tried to call and only rang and rang. Needless to say we are a little concerned. The wait is bad enough but now this. If they woul...

Re: Time from Manufacturer to Dealer
A friend and I got ours from a Lafayette dealer as well, maybe the same one. Our wait was VERY long. I had told the dealer I wanted a specific can, and they had to order it. I had actually forgotten about it, and was thinking about getting another can when the paper work showed up in the mail one d...

Re: Can one can do it all?
I called Bowers to buy the cac45 yesterday, and what a nice friendly bunch to deal with. They contacted my local dealer and got everything settled. Needless to say I am looking forward to getting it. I should get it about the same time as the Uzi.

Can one can do it all?
I am fairly new at this so I need help finding the right can. I have a G21 with a threaded barrel, and I will be getting a Mac 10 45acp and an Uzi in 9, 45 and 22 in six months or so. Both the MAC and Uzi are FA. I already have a 22 suppressor but I would like to get a 45 can for the two new toys an...

Re: First NFA purchase
As much as people knock the Mite, when I tested it out (by ear) comparing it to my classic Sparrow, it was pretty comparable. What M14 can are you waiting on? That is good to hear, as I have nothing to compare it to. I just got my mite last week, I was disappointed at first. All I had at the time w...

Re: Advice needed: best in stock .22 can at my LGS
Of your mfgs listed, the only one I would really stay away from is the YHM mite.
I will have to second that. My mite came in last week, and I am not impressed. Big let down after the six month wait.

What to get?
I was picking up a suppressor and I told the dealer that I got an itch for a full auto, my first choices being an M2 carbine or a MAC 10 in 45. He told me there was someone selling a Reising 50 locally. Is the Reising a good MG to start with? What would be a fair price?
