Gemtech HVT
I have a HVT with bilock multimount and it fits both the 5.56 mounts and .308 mounts. run my HVT on a M-16 in 5.45, 5.56, Galil Semi 5.56, RRA LAR-8, single shot NEF .308 and a single shot NEF .556 and HK 91 (not reccomended- doesnt work real well due to port noise.... just the cost of the multimount.

Re: 44 Mag Subsonic-Which powders ?
10 gr Blue Dot for 300grn- subsonic without porting... I use this in my Win 94 AE and Sound tech M can- sweet quiet!
I reload 265 grn hornaday but go for the gusto with a hot load of blue dot- havent bothered to subsonic it, as the 300 grn gives better down range performance for a big slow bullet...

Re: Will a can slow my 9mm ammo?
cool- when I did it- I was getting that much in velocity difference round to round. I didnt get fancy and log/chart to see if the bell curve shifted- but then again 20 fps was static in my tests. Theoretically a suppressor could increase the velocity- depending on how its designed to mess with the g...

Re: Will a can slow my 9mm ammo?
one last note- be sure to print the shots on paper to assure they are not keyholing... Im not familiar with the 16" bbl, but be sure the bullet is stable before putting the can on. I check all of my reloads for this when developing a load- I shoot 5-10 shots in one group on a clean target and s...

Re: Will a can slow my 9mm ammo?
My recommendation is to chrono at about 950-1000 fps out of the unsupressed host gun. depending on your altitude this would be subsonic. Your 750-775 fps is really slow. Most factory 9mm 147 out of a pistol is subsonic (not sure about a 16" BBl though). I hand load a .44 Mag 300grn XTP to 980fp...

Re: Thompson Machine Review with update for Major and Bobafe
I have an OP C and am extremely impressed with it. the action noise is all I can perceive. it is quieter than a p-22/outback II and about the same noise level as a CO2 air rifle. my kid was shooting it about 30 feet away from a group of folks that barely noticed it. I havent bench shot it for accura...

Re: Most cost effectve 50 BMG suppressor?
I have an Elite Iron Alpha .50 suppressor for my M-99 Barrett. great suppressor! Im really happy with it. My Barrett came with a 3 port clamshell break that is outstanding. it makes the recoil feel like a .308- very pleasant to shoot. the Alpha can makes it feel like a 12 gauge- sorta a long push re...

not trying to naysay your M82 with a suppressor- I have a Elite Iron Alpha can for my M-99 and I love it. definitely changes the POI when mounted, and I am presently re-working my loads to tune them to the suppressor. I have been advised that the M82 has some serious issues with a suppressor mounted...

Cost- with the .50 - hard corps accuracy shooting folks are using high precision scales (lab type scales), weighing each component (brass, primer, bullet, powder), turning case necks, using gauges for every round, and keeping the loaded rounds in a portable 'oven' to assure they are all the same tem...

I have a lee 50 BMG set up from midway. it comes with an adapter set to allow the use of regular dies. the press is overkill sized for 308, but if you only have one, and want to get in to it cheap, this is the best deal going. I would invest in a good case trimmer for the 50. I note that after 2 sho...

just have a machinist make a thread adaptor, for instance if the can is 1/2x28 and your pistol is 1/2x32 have an adaptor made- its easy for someone with a lathe, and its not a suppressor part. after I got my grippies on my Poseidon I realized they will never be able to sell extra end caps, as its re...

Elite Iron Alpha
I have an Elite Iron Alpha suppressor for my M-99 and I am very pleased with it. at 1400$ (I think) its a great deal and I love it. that being said, I havent heard too many .50 suppressors. I can tell you I shoot my M-99 without ears IF i am shooting in the open (not a covered shooting area.) as a g...
