Re: Threaded barrel for a S&W mod.41?
Beautiful work but a little too expensive for what I need. I'm not able to use all the accuracy these can deliver. Just looking for something I can suppress and smack some cans. Thanks for the reply.

Thanks for the recommendations. I believe my friend is going with either the AXIOM or the ASCENT. Both look like a good fit for his needs.

Easy to clean .22 suppressor
Looking to purchase a .22 caliber can. Needs to be user serviceable, light weight, and as quiet as possible. I've read about a can that has an internal sleeve that the core sits in and the sleeve and baffles slide inside the outer can. I don't remember who makes it or remember any reviews about its ...

Jail break a SWR Omega?
I had posted earlier about ultrasonic cleaning a sealed .22 SWR can. All indications are that it is too full of lead and carbon to be successfully cleaned. Anyone out there doing jailbreak and baffle replacements? The blast baffle has had many strikes and is more oblong than round. The tube is engra...

SWR Omega material?
A friend has a SWR Omega suppressor for .22 cal. It's a sealed can so we were wondering what the material used to make it. We were planning on using an ultrasonic cleaner, but concerned about damage if it's made of aluminum. Anyone know what the baffles and tube are made of?
Thanks

Re: Vertical stringing when suppressed
Ammo all came from the same box and the rifle was supported on a rest with just the free floating handguard touching. I would load 10 in the magazine, fire five with the suppressor on, fire five with the suppressor off, on side by side targets. Same result each time.

Vertical stringing when suppressed
Just shot some American Eagle 220 grain subsonic 300 Blackout. Horizontally they all stay within 1/2 inch but they string vertically by about 2 inches. All stay within 1/4 inch of each other. Checked and rechecked the mount and all was tight. Shooting a YHM Phantom on a Riggio Arsenal lower with an ...

Re: Jail-break a.22 can
It's a SWR Omega. It looks like it has end-caps but I was afraid to try to disassemble until I learned a little more about the construction. What now folks? Is it user serviceable? To whom should we talk to about getting it serviced?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Jail-break a.22 can
My neighbor has a very old Silencerco, .22 cal. sealed can. After thousands of rounds, the effectiveness has all but disappeared. Is there anyone out there who could disassemble, clean and make it user serviceable? He doesn't know what the baffles are made of, but if possible, he would consider usin...

Transporting suppressor interstate.
I'm planning on taking a suppressor on vacation. I will pass through a couple of states that allow suppressors so it shouldn't be a local LEO problem. In checking the ATF web page it requires the form 5320.20 for temporary transport of NFA firearms but does not specifically identify suppressors (alt...

Large pin or small pin?
I figured the "smiths" would know. I have a Colt Sporter Lightweight, serial # 027XXX, about 20 years old. The model number is R6530. I have a YHM Phantom installed and want to add a better trigger. The question of whether I have a large or a small pin rifle. Which do I have? And what pin ...

Re: Attached can made groups 4 times worse!!
I had a similar problem and the good folks here said to make sure the threads on both the can and host are clean as well as the surfaces that contact each other. I cleaned the hell out of the host and can, put them back together, made sure the can was in firm contact with the host and it shot as goo...

Re: Pattern instead of group
User error...I took the advice from those who responded to my post and to "Conqueror's" post on "what's wrong with my can". I took it all apart again, really scrubbed the threads and contact points, and it's shooting like a dream now. Thanks to all who posted advice to help a bro...

Re: Pattern instead of group
I re-read the recommendations for "Conqueror's" post. Took the can apart and really cleaned and checked the threads and contact surfaces; did the same with the host. I did find a little crud so hopefully that will cure my problem. The can is a Liberty Essence, and it has been fantastic so ...

Pattern instead of group
My host is a Ruger 10/22. Range was 45 yards. I fired several groups with CCI standard, CCI Subsonic segmented and Wolf target. Without the can I was getting dime sized groups at POI with each brand. With the can installed each group was about 4-5 inches in diameter and about four inches to the left...

Re: Ti safe solvents
I have the Essence of Liberty. I checked with the manufacturer about soaking the whole can in Hoppe's #9 prior to any disassembly. They said no problem. I've submersed the can in a tube of Hoppe's #9 for about an hour the last two times I've cleaned it. Seems to come apart a little easier than befor...

Thanks for the responses. As stated, I doubt if I'll do it on purpose but it's good to know I won't trash my cans.
