Re: New integral build from liberty 300blk

Wait you mean the one thats been on their website for a long time now? http://www.libertycans.net/mjolnir.html From that page: "The 300 AAC Blackout Subsonic Ammunitions is still supersonic in the Mjolnir. Our barrel length of 15" is still not short enough to make them subsonic. You will ...

Re: Which .22 suppressor?

You know, I never thought about or heard about the FRP issue with the sparrow. I can tell you that I have zero noticeable FRP with my SWR Spectre. I can see why some folks wouldn't want an 8 oz can though. I'll bet it's awkward as a can for the tiny 22s like the Beretta 21A. Obviously no perfect can...

Re: AAC 762-SDN-6 questions

Only my opinion, but: I would use the brakeout on the 700 and the 16" AR. I don't like the "ping" of the blackout flash hider, and the brakeout is 1/2 the cost of the 2-baffle brake. I would spring for the $$ 2 baffle brake on the SBR to help protect the can. It doesn't look like your...

Re: Finally my day has come

Do you think Im going to find an amazing deal at a convention that I wont be attending? I work around 65 hours a week in the middle of nowhere. The shot show wont apply to me or my purchase. I don't think you understand why people are recommending waiting for SHOT. Since it's the industry's main tr...

Re: Finally my day has come

The 'kitchen table' way to do this (with an AR or bolt gun) is to mount the can, pull the bolt and look down the barrel from the breech end to see if there is any obvious misalignment of the can. I don't think this is possible with an AK. Sure you can - pop the cover and pull the bolt. Almost as ea...

Re: SWR's new suppressors for 2012!!!!

Nice, sounds like the best of both worlds - a new Spectre design that I don't like the looks of (so no buyer's remorse on my current can) plus an opportunity to upgrade baffles at some point. Sweet! :D Though as others have mentioned, I don't see how the Spectre can get much better noise-wise. I'm a...

Re: SWR Spectre Baffles after approx. 1600 rounds

I opened my Spectre after the first 500 rounds and it was pointless. I have no clue why mine was so clean but about 80% of the rounds were SK Standard Plus out of my bolt gun, which is a heavily lubed lead RN. The other 20% were jacketed Aguila standard and high velocity rounds out of my 4" Buc...

Every one of my guns goes in a Bore Store when it goes into the safe for long term storage. Works for transport to the range in a pinch as well.

Man, I JUST got my C&R in the mail, after sending in the renewal forms about 4 months ago. Everyone at the BATFE must be way behind, I don't think there's much review at all regarding a C&R renewal.

Re: What's the smallest common .22LR pistol out there?

Beretta Bobcat would probably be the smallest "quality" gun that would be readily available. Thread jobs on them are common. I love my SWR Spectre but sometimes I wish I had something smaller for a super-compact silenced package. Compared to the 22/45: photo isn't mine but it shows the rel...

I've mentioned it here before, but it doesn't hurt to reiterate. One new option for us now is a non-corporation trust (i.e., a standard revocable trust). Previously, you couldn't go the trust route in MO unless you incorporated, because a normal revocable trust can't hold an FFL, and you neede...

Yeah, the buttstock does nothing for me but a quick-detach handguard is a cool idea. Nothing wrong with pushing the design envelope as long as you don't try to shove it down everyone's throat as the next big thing.

Probably a quick disconnect for the entire handguard so you can run a ratchet-mounted can under it!
