Re: SILENCERS ARE EVIL
Just wait until you are tired of your friends shooting unsuppressed so now you buy cans that they can use when you are out shooting with them.

Re: Silencerco Hybrid on Handgun
Does the weight of the Hybrid on a pistol bother you guys? I have an Osprey and Octane so I'm used to the lighter weight. A friend is contemplating getting the Hybrid as a do-it-all can.

+1 Joker.
I think the brilliance of Brittingham, Graham, and Pappas would probably have found out by now if something truly innovative were out there. They have all been through multiple ventures and had the opportunity to do what could be done.

SilencerCo Octane, Osprey, and the Rugged Obsidian are the only can with interchangeable pistons I'm aware of.

Re: 9 mm ar
You might take a look at one of the Just Right Carbines. Caliber changes are pretty easy and they can be made to take M&P or Glock mags. Mine has been 100% reliable and sounds good with an Octane 45 can. I made mine into an SBR and chopped the barrel to 5". They do have a different thread p...

I don't know about the Ti Rant, but in testing with the Osprey and Octane 9 < 40 < 45.

Re: 10/22 Factory Threading
Other than a run of 10/22s years ago that had 1/2-20 threads all the current production is 1/2-28. I haven't had any issues with my factory threaded Rugers.

Re: Sticking cases when shooting suppressed?
Sorry I haven't gotten back to you guys, work has been hectic lately. I reduced the load further than I had before, down to 70 grains, and no more sticking. As I've had a few days to process this, I'm using a new powder that hasn't received a lot of testing. Alliant's data for RL23 called for 75.5 g...

Re: Sticking cases when shooting suppressed?
That is my thought as well, somehow there is a slightly larger diameter ahead of the belt. I'm out of town for work but I'll get in touch with a gunsmith and see if he can do a chamber cast.

Re: Sticking cases when shooting suppressed?
This isn't low cost brass and I wasn't using max loads, however it appears they are pretty warm according to the chronograph. I reduced by 3 more grains to see if that improves anything.

Re: Sticking cases when shooting suppressed?
If there was some kind of mark on the neck it could be possible, the only mark I see is just ahead of the belt. I ran these over the chronograph today and got an average of 3050 FPS, which is the top end of 190 grain bullets in the 300 Win Mag. I loaded some more this afternoon and backed off three ...

Re: Sticking cases when shooting suppressed?
I tried some factory ammo today and it stuck with both cans. I full length sized the new brass, although my sizer die didn't even touch the cases, just rounded out the necks. My hand loads still stuck with the Specwar, but noticeably less. New brass measures .506 just ahead of the belt, resized meas...

Re: Sticking cases when shooting suppressed?
I was using new brass, running it in my sizer die only rounds out the neck.
Before I polished the chamber there were scratches just ahead of the belt, after polishing I noticed the brass was shiny in the same area without scratches.

Sticking cases when shooting suppressed?
I've been shooting my Rem 700 300 Win Mag and I have only shot hand loads but the cases are sticking pretty tight in the chamber. I have to beat the bolt open. I've tried reducing the charge with no improvement and today I took the can off and none of them stuck. Can is a AAC 300TM. I've shot numero...

Re: Deciding on a 7.62 Can
Dead Air, Rugged, SilencerCo--- don't worry about warranty. They will all take care of you. Keep in mind there's a business aspect of this, so some lawyer talk--- if SilencerCo states they will fix anything no matter what, someone eventually is going to purposely destroy cans over and over and over...

I have a 5" barrel on mine with a Octane 45HD I don't notice any blowback with it. It isn't a real AR though, its a Just Right Carbine.

I really like the Omega and recommend it to a lot of people, but if durability is No. 1 on your list the Saker is the choice.

Laser and its fine looks great but not as deep. At least it gets me marked until I can figure out where to get it done again deeper. If the marking is not compliant and meet the marking requirements then you mine as well not have the tube marked at all. You don't get a buy for doing it half way. Pl...
