Re: Would this be a suppressor part?
Regarding B's 'errors'...yep. He makes them. We all do. He chooses to delete what he knows of as an error, you seem to ASSume that you have some moral high ground since you apparently haven't deleted any of your whopping 32 posts. Byrdman Well, that's proof what I said is true. At least it's a star...

Re: Would this be a suppressor part?
Another reference is 9mm AR's with free float tubes. They are threaded on 1 end, not both but yet, they're not considered a silencer or silencer part. What CMV is proposing is only threaded on one end -- the forward end. What makes it unusual (and, therefore, difficult to give a black or white answ...

Re: Would this be a suppressor part?
But it goes over the barrel in front of the can, not after it. The bloop tube you're describing, the bullet passes thru it after exiting the barrel. On what I'm intending, the bullet is inside the [non-ported] barrel as it passes thru. This is more like a barrel shroud between the suppressor and th...

Re: Would this be a suppressor part?
We arent talking about a bloop tube either, and this design isnt a bloop tube. Please read the entire thread not just a single post then you will understand my comment. Good lord man, what you just said is sooooo misleading & dis-information I don't know where to start. Based on your statement ...

Re: M1A Suppressed
So is there any way you can get away with a direct thread on with just the thread adapter and plug from Sei The thread adapters from SEI & Delta P have been known to cause baffle strikes. We make a thread adapter that screws directly to the barrel (as it should) that will prevent any baffle str...

another monocore ? i don't know why i do not like monocore....it's so tought ! Monocore is derived from Soviet Com Block suppressor designs. Sounds socialistic to me & I don't like them either. Anything Marxist just goes against the grain for me but hey, we have been transformed in this country...

Re: Would this be a suppressor part?
Can't be hollow on the inside either, has to be a sealed "solid" unit as even an empty space WILL suppress. Not exactly true. Ever hear of a "bloop tube" ? Competition shooters I shoot against use hollow tubes as barrel extensions that have removable sights installed to get a lo...

Re: Chambering a barrel blank, gunsmithing question.
This will be my first time to cut a chamber in anything, but I don't think it will be too far fetched of a task. Should I just use the reamer, or rough out the chamber first with a boring bar? I understand the headspaceing issues. Any tips? Thanks. Do it right & use the reamer made for the job....

I don't remember the software as I've had the chart for many years.Bendersquint wrote: What software is that? I don't recognize it.
I've given others a copy of it many times, so I'm sure it has made its rounds more than once.

Re: building a suppressor for ar-15 5.56
From first hand experience the threaded end caps will come off and all the baffles will stay locked in from the buildup in the pockets in the spacers. Run it up to 800*F and its gonna be full of carbon, run it north of 1100*F and you will have legit rings of copper deposited from the jackets on the...

Brownell's has a tap that is H3. Is that the correct tap for a muzzle brake? It just seemed a bit big to me. All you need to know about taps. In the tables below, tap selections are shown for the Class of Thread desired and, under the Class of Thread heading, applicable GH Numbers are listed. "...

Re: NFA Form Processing Update
Actually, what's been confirmed is that you like to insult people on the internet, try to trash your competition, and feel the need to speak of how great you are. You wouldn't have worked at a silencer company down in Corpus at some point have you? Seriously, how do you expect to attract customers ...

You keep coming back for more, don't you? It's okay that you lost every argument you started here , so just give it up. Furthermore, from your uninformed posts on multiple forums (like L1A1 showed), and with you having around 20 posts on this forum , I tend to see you as more of the hijacker. I hav...

I think the times she quoted you are for F3 at least are generic timetables that they spout. Silencer Shop will tell you that they're getting F3s back in 2 weeks. F4s, that number is probably close to truth about now  Linda said all F2's & F3's are 90 days not just F3's. In fact, I have so...

Been busy in my shop getting work done for customers & finally have a few minutes to post the pics for the modified endmill. It's actually a 2 flute center cutting endmill not a ball endmill. The last pic shows how it's modified to work as it should. It's a bit tedius but works well. You need to...

The rear cap. Please excuse the mess of a hole there. Re: Effect of a can on accuracy of M1A???
A can (for muzzle threads) that hangs on the very end of the muzzle will have more drop than a can such as a Sonic type that comes back over the barrel. The Ceiner (bad name I know) & the SCRC MK25 (Tim Bixler) both come back over the barrel & give less bullet drop due to the can weight bein...

Re: Effect of a can on accuracy of M1A???
Guys, I have an old but very accurate Springfield Armory M1A. Is bedded into an M14 stock and has a NM barrel. It is very accurate. Any thoughts on the impact that the can would have on the M1A? Noone can answer that. Actually, I can answer the question. If you're using the std 22" USGI profil...
