It didn't take an oracle to see that coming.

Elected by the liberals in Billings, he HAD to veto the bill. He probably also intends to run for President (aren't all Democrats?).

I use threaded Lone Wolf barrels in 9mm and .40S&W with my Glock 23 with no issues.

Paid less in taxes for the year, but would have gotten a nice refund had they not dropped the deduction for moving expenses; it's been limited to active-duty military.

I see some companies are selling muzzle devices ($30-$200) which direct gases and report forward.
Has anyone used one of the ubiquitous threaded Maglite end caps with a flashlight tube to do the same thing for about $15?

I know JD and own or have owned several barrels chambered in his proprietary cartridges. I don't want to invest another $500 in one I might not keep long.

I've subscribed to several threads, but do not get e-mail notifications when a post has been made (the e-mail address in my profile is correct, and nothing has gone to my spam folder).

Re: CVA Scout V2 - recommend or avoid?
I have a Bowers Vers 458 (for my .458 SOCOM) which is bigger than the Hybrid, so I suspect sound mitigation may be adequate. This will be a range toy and perhaps a rig for hunting from a blind, o weight isn't a factor. I looked at .45 Colt, .454 Casull, .460 S&W, et al., but I like the idea of T...

Re: CVA Scout V2 - recommend or avoid?
I've got an Encore rifle already; I could buy a barrel for ~$300, then pay another $140 or so to thread it.
A CVA Scout V2 costs about $350 @Acadeny and it's already threaded.

CVA Scout V2 - recommend or avoid?
I'm interested in suppressing a .45/70 for shits and giggles.
I ran across this:

I just ordered a Griffin Sportsman Ultra Light 300. It's rated up to 300 RUM.
I'll let you know how it works out in a few months.

300 magnum suppressor or .338 magnum suppressor?
Which would you consider more 'practical'? I have several 300 magnums and a couple of .338 magnums. I'll never load subsonic ammunition in them but want to reduce the report. At this point in time, I doubt I'll have .338s threaded, buuuut I might buy a .338 Lapua someday. I am MUCH more li...

Re: A couple of questions regarding NFA Trusts
Thank you.
If the original trust owner passed away or became ineligible to possess firearms (e.g., renounced citizenship, 'prohibited person', mental defect, etc.) would the other trustee(s) then become the new owner(s)?
This is all for my own edification.

A couple of questions regarding NFA Trusts
Scenario: Trust owner is only trustee. Trust maker adds a trustee (via properly signed/witnessed/notarized documents). Q1. Can the new trustee add another trustee, or is the trust owner the only one who can do so? Continuation of scenario: Trust maker retires to a country where such toys are forbidd...

Re: Transport SBR out of state
Had a thought...go figure... If I temporarily replace my stock with a pistol brace, could I transport it to another state without jumping through the ATF paperwork hoop? Or would it be considered illegally making a rifle a pistol? I presume that this is an AR-based SBR. This is how I understand it:...
