Re: SILENCERS ARE EVIL
I disagree. Silencers are good for the soul. Lemme ‘splain.... Money is the root of all evil, right??? So... getting hooked on silencers costs tons of money, right???? So... you now have much less money, right???? So... your soul gets more and more pure with each purchase, right???? The conclusion ...

Re: Help with 308 sub load
I got down to 7.8gr of Trail Boss using a 150gr X-treme plated bullet out of my 10 twist 20" factory Remington 700 before I got rid of the sonic crack. Now its so quiet I giggle like a schoolgirl when I shoot it.

Re: 22/45 Lite or SR22 a better host?
What makes the SR22 or P22 a quieter host? It seems to me that the ejection port on the 22/45 is smaller/more enclosed. Is it just the 3.5" barrel versus the 4.4"?

Re: 22/45 Lite or SR22 a better host?
I'm leaning toward the Lite, especially now that Ruger got rid of the gold anodize and 'slide cuts' and went with black anodize and fluted barrel. I had just heard that the SR22 was quieter. Again, thanks to those that replied.

22/45 Lite or SR22 a better host?
I'm trying to decide which of these two I am going to get. What are your opinions on which would be the better host and why?
Thanks in advance.

Re: how do you make the end caps for a homemade suppressor?
I'm not a voice of experience on this, since I haven't yet submitted a Form 1, but I do believe I have seen someone use a flash hider from an AR welded to the end of the tube. This would give you a 1/2-28 threaded end. If you wanted a different thread pitch, I'm not sure what you could use.

Does the host alter the cleaning schedule of a rimfire can?
I have done some searching, but can find any referece to this.
Does using a 16" rifle host cause less buildup in the can than a 4" pistol host?
Assuming use was exclusive to the respective host.

Jimmy, I went and looked at your can. What alloy did you use for the spacers?

Thanks Byrdman. I had come to the conclusion that Al was a no-no, but couldn't get a real definitive answer as to why. My search ability could use some work

7068 Al strong enough for Centerfire can
I am thinking of building a 7mm RM can based on Delta9mda's 300WM design. I was thinking about using 7068 Aluminum for the tube and all but the first 2 baffles. The blast chamber spacer, blast baffle and next baffle would be 17-4. Any thoughts on strength/durability? I've gathered that aluminum and ...
