The exclamation point icon in the upper right corner of the post is the report icon.

Re: Help me choose a multi cal suppressor?

Hello, I’m wanting a suppressor for hunting. Here is what I’m looking for: A. I’d like to suppress a 350 legend and 45-70. B. I’d also like to get a smokeless muzzleloader some day and suppress it. C. I’d love to hunt with 22lr with it also (about 20 shots a season). What do you recommend for me? I...

Spam, new members, and pending approval for posts

Well, having to approve new members didn't work. There was no way to know who was real and who was a spammer. I think I have the board set up so that anyone can join, but the first several posts by new members must be approved by a moderator prior to them being public. I've been disapproving and del...

Fingerprints and photos are a ATF requirement. In the past a trust or other 'entity' as you say could file without them. The requirements have changed. You can still form a trust, but each 'responsible member" of the trust must submit prints and photos.
No way around it.

Re: Newbie forum 1 build questions for ar15 223/556 with force reset trigger.

Just submitted finger prints on a silencer shop kiosk and payed for stamp for a forum 1 and 4. Waiting for approval so thought I'd try to learn as much as I can. My cousin owns a machine shop so he will be doing most the work First be aware on a form 1 you have to do the work or physically be prese...

what is the HUB mount system?

would someone explain or point me toward the answer....
What is the HUB system I keep reading about. Something or some sort of 'industry standard' in mounting? I'm not seeing how anyone is standard to anyone else.

Re: flash supression

I don't think the design you have shown is going to do what you want. I'm going to suggest using as much reflex area as you can, and as large a diameter as you are comfortable with. For inspiration look at the drawing of the BR Reflex T8: https://i.imgur.com/qdnpVMU.gif There will be a bit of a weig...

I buy from Onlinemetals.com since they have a place local I can pick up. That way I don't have to pay shipping. Otherwise, I cruise Ebay for drops and short parts. For Ti I also buy from Tiger Metals.

Re: 1st 300 Blackout design

Cone and spacer design. Titanium tube 1.5OD x .07 wall x 8.0lg. The threads will be 1/2" long at 28tpi End caps, cones & spacers will be 17-4 SS Looks good, a couple comments. .070 is thick for the tube walls. You could get by will as thin as .035 but that would be hard to thread, if that'...

I'm not much of an expert by any means, but it's my understanding that K baffles like you have designed are great for subsonic rounds. If you plan to use Supersonic hunting rounds, you might be better with cones.

Re: UGH! Trying to indicate a barrell

I got it dialed in. I am amazed at the lack of concentricity of the bore to the exterior or the barrel. Well what did you do. For a integral turning barrel on center is a option. Oh I indicated off the bore not the exterior of the barrel. Got it dialed finally after a cup of coffee and some fresh t...

UGH! Trying to indicate a barrell

I've got 3 form 1's, all will be Ruger Standard (pre-mark 1) 'integrals'. Not true integral since the barrel won't be ported. But the tube will mimic the look of a bull barrel. Anyway, I'm mounting the receiver and barrel in a Viper fixture so I can thread the barrel. I keep fighting myself mixing u...

Re: Really Large POI Shift with Suppressor

That really sounds like a baffle strike or that the bullet is just kissing a baffle as it passes. I'd look really hard at the edges of the baffles and see if you see any marks. Also look for jacket fragments in the can.
