Re: Oh HAPPY DAY
Congrats! The Maxim is a cool pistol, although I'd have been more excited about it in .45. Regardless, it's pretty much the first legitimately hearing safe handgun that could be feasibly carried. I've built some pretty stubby cans with wonky profiles trying to keep OAL to a minimum, but you just ca...

Re: AAC Halcyon????
Just a thread bump.
Anybody get one as of yet? Not sure when they released since I've been staying away from websites that would make me spend money on more cans/SBR's etc.

Re: Cycling issues
You might have to reduce the recoil spring from the factory 17 lb. A few other people have reduced theirs to 13 lbs to reliably shoot downloaded ammo (and your situation when using the suppressor is similar). A Google search will net you instructions on what they did. First, you might try +p ammo a...

Re: badly damaged ears, need help for omega/300 blk setup
I find that my H&R break action handi-rifle was close to the same as my Daniel Defense 10.3 inch 300 BLK. I can't really compare apples to apples with this though since I was running an Omega on the AR and an Octane 9 on the Handi-Rifle. I think most of the noise on my AR is generated from that ...

Re: Reliable suppressor host list
I own the FNX-45 tac, Ruger, and Browning in your list. My Glock is a model 19 but also do own the 23 (haven't shot that one suppressed yet) I haven't had any trouble with the ones I listed and I'm running factory springs in all my pistols that require them. They've all been equally reliable in my o...

Re: So who's filing for new Form 1 or Form 4 before Obama kills off NFA on trusts?
Just tell them you are volunteering for a charity that requires them. The charity I work for requires Fingerprints, Background check and a Military service check. We had someone say they were in the Air Force PJ's before and I ended up calling him out on it and called some PJ's I knew to verify, He...

That ain't how the government works. The petition thing is feel good pap created by obamanites in order to placate weak minded liberals. The petitions have resulted in exactly zero forward motion in any area. They have not changed anything with regards to policy or actions by the POTUS. +1 They're ...

Well you guys convinced me, I am going to get a rugged obsidian going now too. Not that it will help with the wait for my Spectre but wth. Now you've got the right attitude about stamps. You should always have some that you're expecting to come in so that way it seems like the process is faster.......

You'll love that Spectre II.....I actually have two of them. So if you wanna talk about stamps you don't "need" I got you beat on that one brother! I got two with sequential serial numbers so I could buy two of the GSG-1911 22's with sequential serial numbers to make a neat looking s...

Re: Suppressor for MPX
Are there any MPX's that are already SBR'd available for purchase? I am hoping to avoid having to Form 1 one and have it engraved and then buy a stock to swap out with the pistol brace. Seems that there should be Factory SBR's available....right??
Thanks,
J

Thanks a bunch. Maybe I'll get that and an MPX SBR before the new rules take effect in July....sure don't wanna have to start messing with fingerprint cards for me, my wife and dad. Maybe I'll just remove them from the trust so I don't have to bother with prints for that many people.....it's honestl...

[quote="thecameraman79"]Agree with most of this but in one breath you say you can't use it on .45 but then the next you say it is cheaper then having to buy the three calibers listed but it doesn't cover .45. My guess is you meant 9mm possibly? It looks like a great all around can which do...

Looks like a great option for all those new silencertalk members that ask recommendations for a budget can. I say Budget can not because it's a cheap can, but because it's inevitable that once they buy one can they'll get more......So, why not get something like this one and be able to shoot everyth...

The addiction is strong with these kind of toys. 14 cans and 2 sbr's in about 3 years. I'm done for now though. Had to take a huge paycut in April of this year and I'm feeling it now.

Was it just the microphone's ability or my ears ability or did the can sound about the same wet as it did dry? Sounds great, but I gotta stop buying these things cause one is just a tiny bit better than the last one that I got....haha.
