Re: need help with die design

I use White Oak mostly as its what I have most of on hand. I have used Maple and Sweet Birch. Like I said I dont do much of spinning but it is a great option for forming metal. Would be nice to build a stamping Machine I have watched some stamp out work in factories I go to. It's very cool to see a ...

Re: need help with die design

Yes you can use a lathe to spin metal I do it for special items needed. I have done it on both my metal and wood lathes. I agree with Wicked on creating a die depending on the design that could be alot of trouble to produce just a hand full of baffles. I make die's for vacuum forming and it takes a ...

I program the chips. Got into do it yourself because of the high cost of ready built stuff. Like I said Most of what I d...

Re: DIY UAV help with hog hunting (With Thermal Video Feed)

My thought on this was to fluid float the cam that would help with image stabilaty. I have seen for full size cams done this way. I have a few big slow fliers they fly at a walking pace. There are a few good size park fliers that will get the job done. With Lipo batteries they can stay aloft a good ...

I'm personaly a fan of flat black Just mean looking IMO. I suspect its type III anodized and that leaves a good oxide layer in and out of the metals surface. .001 Min, most are typical .003 and even as much as .004 The meter test is probably the best test known I am going to see whats in purple power I didnt thing...
