Re: i bought a ruger mark 3... with a threaded barrel :)
Sounds cool - If your uncle is not into this as you are make sure he is aware that he needs to submit a Form 1 to the BATF and wait about 6 months before manufacturing a suppressor.
Good luck with your project

Re: Endcap strike. Ranger 2. 16" BCM lightweight barrel.
A couple of weeks ago I had a endcap strike on a new M42K. Although my strike was different from yours I wanted to say that I received fantastic customer service from AAC. I sent an email to them and shortly after received an email reply and then a phone call from them. They emailed me a shipping la...

Re: Holster for 22/45 with a can?
The Battlecloth is more a "Gun Rug" than a tactical holster but I like it. The Fastfire 3 is not well protected but it has the cover to protect it some. http://www.mikeashman.net/DSCN0184.jpg http://www.mikeashman.net/DSCN0196.jpg http://www.mikeashman.net/DSCN0193.jpg http://www.mikeashma...

Serial Numbers
This might be a stupid question but why do people blackout or photoshop the serial numbers when they post photos. I see this on lots of class 3 photos as well as other gun photos. What bad stuff can happen if someone sees the serial number of your can or pac-lite? Thanks in advance for any comments.

Re: SS Sparrow question
The outter tube of the SS version is alloy steel treated with a Magnesium Phosphate coating. The inner core is heat treated 17-4 PH Stainless Steel coated with black oxide. I cleaned mine for the first time last night. The outter tube and thread on cap I just used soap and water and it came out fine...

AAC M4-2000 Endcap Kiss question
I took a new M4-2000 out yesterday for the first time. Put 250 rounds through it. Very happy with it. I notice that the endcap has a slight bump where it was kissed. The inside looks fine. I am not that concerned but I thought I would ask the forum if this is normal. Weapon is a Colt LE 6940 with 16...

Re: Approved again!!!
I also just called ATF.
M4-2000 and Sparrow SS both approved on Nov 14. They both went pending on June 21. That's 143 days from pending to approved or 4 mo and 3 weeks. Examiner is Lamberger. Both form 4 individual. North Florida. First 2 stamps for me.

Re: Volquartsen 22/45 Mag Base
Please let me know what they say. If I just push mine in it will not catch either. I just bump the bottom of the mag and it seats OK. I am ok with that because I am used to "bumping" mags on automatics to ensure they don't fall out. I reinstalled the spring and pin on mine also. I really l...

Re: OK I bought a Ruger 22/45 Lite on impulse as they did no
I just received my Pac lite which I just ordered from Tactical Solutions through a local gun store which is a Tac Sol dealier. Tac Sol quoted 3 to 4 weeks to ship. I called them after 3 weeks to check and a really nice lady said that they do the drilling and tapping for the bottom rail on the night ...

Volquartsen 22/45 Mag Base
Here are some photos of the Volquartsen Mag base on my 22/45. It is is CNC machined from an aluminum alloy and black hard anodized. It is spring loaded to "push" the mag out. I removed that since I had already done the Volquartsen trigger mod and did not need the spring assist. I was on th...

Re: What was your first NFA weapon
New to Silencer Talk and NFA - I have two Form 4's sent off. I purchased a AAC M4-2000 and then two weeks later I bought a Silencerco SS Sparrow. My dealer had both items in stock. The long wait has begun. Lots of great information on your form.
