Where to engrave 10/22 ZK-22 SBR?
My kids fell in love with the ZK-22 stock: http://www.sportsmansguide.com/product/index/aklys-defense-zk-22-bullpup-stock?a=1770074 After getting frustrated at not being able to find a threaded 18.5” barrel without a ridiculous price tag, I decided to just bite the bullet and submit a form 1 for a 1...

SBS / AOW Form 1 dimensions
I am finally getting around to submitting a form 1 for a side-by-side shotgun. I know you can only submit an application for an SBS, so what should I put on the dimensions for overall length if I am intending to create an AOW? The gun currently has a 20” barrel with an OAL of 36” with the stock. Her...

Re: Need advice on a 5.56 suppressor
Echo the other responses... I ended up going with a Surefire SOCOM mini for my 11.5". Not "hearing safe", but close enough. I originally wanted (and bought but never received, but that's another story) an OPS Inc. M4-S. It's purpose built for the 11.5" barrel profile. I believe A...

If you knew then what you know now...
So I’m looking through the safe and notice a few guns and cans gathering dust in a corner that just don’t get used as much as I thought they would when I bought them. It got me thinking… if you knew “then” what you know “now” are there any purchases or sales you would have made differently? I, for o...

Re: Please help me find a 10/22 barrel
Can you expound on the need for factory barrel? From the outside it seems an odd requirement since better barrels are available that match all your other specs. It's for a project I am undertaking with my son. I am sure there are better options than the standard factory offerings, but we are trying...

Re: Please help me find a 10/22 barrel
I'd go haunt rimfirecentral.com, mad 10/22 parts over there, I've seen 2 LVT barrel/stock combos go for $100 each. One went into my safe. Lots of people out there don't understand how good the factory barrels are, so they swap em out on day one, unfired. I've been checking them out daily for weeks,...

Please help me find a 10/22 barrel
I don't know why this is so hard to find, but I am looking for a FACTORY Ruger 10/22 barrel with these specs: 16.5” 1:16 twist standard tapered profile 1/2 x 28 threaded barrel no sights cutouts This must be OEM Ruger, not after-market. I tried buying through Ruger, but they will only sell it as a f...

Re: Cutting a nickel shotgun barrel?
Well, so much for my cheap project!
What about cerakoting? How can I remove the finish myself? It won't be shiny, but better than chipped edges.
Then again, maybe I'll just chop it myself and keep the chipped edges... It may give it that ragged home made teotwawki look...

Cutting a nickel shotgun barrel?
I recently picked up a Stoeger coach gun: http://www.stoegerindustries.com/coach-guns-single-and-double-trigger-shotguns#specifications-section It is nickel plated. I plan on SBS'ing it but am concerned about the finish. Anyone cut a nickel plated barrel before? What happened to the finish around th...

I have the Thompson machine takedown and love it!
The only thing I would have liked to see is a sleeve for the baffles like the silencerco sparrow.

All these replies are utter nonsense. OP, you have the right idea... You sifted through the 40 naysayers and found the couple of that say it's OK. After all, everything on the Internet is true!

Re: Basic questions about suppressor use indoors
Threads like this remind me why I don't visit this forum as often as I used to... Any flavor of 22 as a defensive round is inadequate. Who are you? James Bond making perfect head shots every time? This is NOT just on opinion... Assuming that you or anyone else will don ear pro during a home invasion...

Re: Basic questions about suppressor use indoors
Seriously? Where did you come up with this load of utter bullshit? Show me the case file! Also, someone here mentioned that using a suppressor for self defense could lead to enhanced penalties if you make a bad decision and use force when not allowed. For instance, let's say you shoot someone in you...

No markings on piston?
I just received a new TiRant 45 piston in .578x28 short. Part # 100687.
It has zero markings on it. No thread pitch or the familiar "On->".
Shouldn't there be something there?

Re: Plans for Saker to Surefire-Socom mount?
I bought one of the very first askers with the assumption that there would be a socom mount. Needless to say I'm a bit disappointed they are not planning on it.
So yes, if they make the mount, I would definitely buy at least two and maybe even another saker...
