Re: Head up for anyone looking for factory loaded subsonic 9
The Speer Lawman I linked to is $5 less a box and subsonic. Your ammo is a good price but what I linked to is $23 for 100 rounds, vs $18 for 50 for the Speer. I bought a case. I'd buy the Speer, but I still have a ton of Georgia Arms "Canned Heat", purchased back when it was something lik...

Re: Head up for anyone looking for factory loaded subsonic 9
Not subsonic, but a pretty nice price for brass 9mm: http://highcountryammunition.com/24hr-sale-brass-9mm-luger-115gr-range-master-fmj-100-rds-ends-1-30-14/ 100 rounds 115gr FMJ for $23.50 SALE ENDS ON 30 JAN. I have plenty of Wolf steel 9mm left, but lately, my Colt subgun has been choking on it. ...

Were you using a piston/booster or fixed 1/2x28 adapter?

This may not accomplish what you are looking for, but a thumb over the back plate on the slide of the Glock will not allow the slide to move and save excessive wear on the gun and can.

Re: Octane 9 Fixed Barrel Adapter Conversion
Yeah, definitely buy the fixed adapter online or just have you gun shop order it for you. As soon as you try to jerry rig something, you'll put a round through the side of the end cap and just wish you spent the $85 in the first place.

Re: ATTN dealers: Have any 9mm subsonic for sale?
I have had bad experiences with the AE 147gr flat point stuff (which I'm assuming is what you ordered) in my 9mm AR. It doesn't like feeding up the ramp.
Beware.
EDIT: Nevermind, just went to Wideners and see they have the round point AE not flat.

Just called the NFA my .45 can went pending today they cashed my check 5/3. And she told me the wait time went to 9 months. I got my last can in Feb and it took about 5 1/2 months and was expected 6 months. They are telling you a longer wait time than it is actually going to be to keep you from cal...

I still am ignorant as to why one cannot buy a suppressor directly from the manufacturer, get approval, and then have them transfer it to a licensed dealer the same way one can sell his weapons across the country through dealers ... with a fee. What am I missing? It's the government. NOTHING is eff...

The only thing that is off is that I do not have the piston. Form 4 approval was fairly short because I cancelled another application that was ready for approval last year. They kept the check and processed this one in its place. You can do that?! I should just always keep one in queue with...

Re: Can't Remove Octane 9 HD (CTA) Expansion Chamber
I will try some Remoil when I get home. I have a 1" wooden dowel that I've used before to get the baffles out, but the problem is it only pushes on the top of the cone of the first baffle. So what seems is happening is that the first baffle will disconnect from the expansion chamber and move ou...

Can't Remove Octane 9 HD (CTA) Expansion Chamber
What the subject says. Whenever I push out the baffles to clean, only the 7 baffles come out. I don't think I've even seen the expansion chamber since the first time I cleaned the can.
Any ideas on how to get it out???

I used to have the round nose AE 147gr and loved it. I only bought 500rnds so when I re-ordered, I bought 2000rnds. Well the new shipment was the flat point stuff. It hasn't had any issues feeding which is the most important thing to me, and I think the flat point might be loaded a bit hotter but n...

Re: Federal AE 9mm 147gr Round Nose?
I've seen some old posts from several years ago mentioning the round nose version of AE 9mm 147-grain, the variant with the "toxic metal free primers", but nothing recent. What is the general consensus on these? Are they comparable to the more common flat nose AE 147 cartridges? As clean?...
