Do test fires without the can first to check for any keyholes on paper.

Re: Ti-rant .45 end cap wont budge

folks...sorry if this topic is addressed already...my internet search showed limited posting on this... It is now JUN 2017 and I had my Ti-RANT 45 since Jul 2011. Just recently obtained the end-cap tool and attempted to remove it for servicing. No Luck in getting it loose either. Have not try the b...

Solidified pieces of carbon mostly. Some lead too for sure.

Re: Suppressing 40 cal

And the bore aperture in the Tirant is designed for 45. But when the smaller 40 passes through, a larger than necessary bore usually means increased sound signature. But when you shoot a 9mm through that same .45-sized aperture, it's quieter than either the .40 or .45 ammo. 9mm has much lower muzzl...

Re: Suppressor recommendations for 300BLK SBR?

Wherever there's a 300 SBR upper, there's usually a 556 SBR upper around too... or at least soon to follow.

The short barrel on the 556 is what you have to worry about. Be sure to get a can with 1 or more Stellite baffles.

Re: Need host for 300AAC bolt gun for Veterans Non-Profit

I have the RARR+Saker combo and you won't be disappointed. I can hit those orange 4" clays at 350yds with it. But mostly ringing 8-10" steel plates for everyone else's enjoyment. Saker is not overly heavy using the direct thread adapter. It balances well with the full size RARR, and the ba...

Frog Lube paste is an excellent medium. Doesn't dry out fast, makes wiping off carbon easier, and even smells good too.

That is awesome. I'm still of the opinion that the MAAD system is better than ASR. Despite a few "flying can" stories out there.

Re: Suppressing 40 cal

Couple of factors in play. The muzzle pressure for 45acp is actually lower than 40. Same thing for their chamber pressures and energy outputs. And the bore aperture in the Tirant is designed for 45. But when the smaller 40 passes through, a larger than necessary bore usually means increased sound si...

Re: Shooting 22 out of 30cal....and then CLEANING..will this work?

The dip method requires total immersion in a big glass jar. And the toxic solution handled/disposed of very carefully. Shooting out splatters of lead acetate everywhere isn't exactly a good idea.

Re: Suppressor cleaning and service life

Being sealed is totally fine for the 9k. Just shoot BLK supers or 556 regularly to keep any buildups in check. The only cans that truly need to be serviceable are the ones that support rimfire. Shooting some supers or 556 regularly does NOT inhibit buildup. Been testing that theory for a few years ...

Resist the temptation and just don't shoot 22LR through the Omega. Every single shot will deposit some lead.

Re: Suppressor cleaning and service life

If you already have a Hybrid, then no worries about getting a dedicated rifle can. The Omega 9k is built very well. Especially with the Stellite blast baffle. It supports 300 BLK supers down to an 8" barrel. This is a good indicator that it can also handle 556 with a standard 16" barrel (u...

"Happy" 13th everyone

Another infamous day in gun control history I suppose.

Sadly I couldn't manage to get/afford an m16 lower the past several months. Had to settle for a factory MPX SBR and a Mask 22. Not bad considering.

Re: Help. Suppressor Accuracy Issues, Wildly Inaccurate.

From what I remember in pics, the new Sig barrels are tapered and don't have conventional shoulders. Which should be fine anyway since they have metric threads, and metric pistons index on the muzzle. Have you tried looking through the barrel with the Tirant attached to visually check alignment? Are...

That would be the Sparrow. Still the easiest 22 can to take apart and clean. Even after 2000+ rounds.

But given the choices today, I'd go with the new Mask by Dead Air. Innovative design almost eliminates FRP.

Re: Is there a guide to how to submit a form 1 after July 13th yet?

I'm concerned from my end as to how I can prove I sent notification if ATF ever comes knocking. Better at least send it registered mail. I don't think the PD is even required to provide acknowledgement that they received it. I would hope most will. It's the same thing for getting a C&R FFL. You...

If the can has Stellite baffles, or at least the first one, I wouldn't worry as much trying to protect them using a brake.

Re: Form 5320.20 Address Change / Timeline Questions AKA: Silly ex bf drama

Some Trusts don't mention addresses at all, so that's irrelevant to them. All F1 and F4 address changes are simply made in writing to the address listed on the back. The update should be pretty quick. But do this first asap so it's official. Then she could just use new address B in box 1. Addresses ...
