Bendersquint - I checked out your website. Sure wish I could "own the can I paid for." I'd love to check out your shop next time I am up that way. I do some work for Harnett County so I swing through every once in a while.

Re: NFA Transfer Question - Getting Impatient
I emailed them a short while ago. I asked for a firm date for me to pick the suppressor up, or for a refund. I said that I could wait days, perhaps a few weeks, but certainly not months. I would just as soon start over with a dealer who has the suppressor in stock. By the way, I paid for the suppres...

Re: NFA Transfer Question - Getting Impatient
I actually passed on the shotgun suppressor. This is 7.62x39. I can't say for sure that the one I fired had my serial number, but they filled out the ATF form that very day with the serial number that goes with my suppressor.

Re: NFA Transfer Question - Getting Impatient
I hate to drag their name into this if it's just a normal delay - they really have seemed like nice folks every time I've dealt with them. I bought the thing because they let me shoot through it in their indoor range and I thought it was pretty impressive. The owner of the place told me it was "...

Sorry - I submitted in October 2011. Approved June 19, 2012. Manufacturer has the stamp (I bought directly from them).

Re: NFA Transfer Question - Getting Impatient
Yes. And the ATF used the serial number to pull up my file when I called. I went by the manufacturer the other day and laid eyes on my stamp. It's approved, there's a serial number, but they don't have it ready yet.

Also, it wasn't custom. They advertise it on their website as one of several models they manufacture and sell.

Re: NFA Transfer Question - Getting Impatient
It's a 7.62X39 suppressor. Point of clarification - I purchased it directly from the company that manufactured it. I bought from them because I live a few miles from their shop. They put the serial number on the ATF form that I completed and got my local CLEO to sign off on. I assumed that because t...

NFA Transfer Question - Getting Impatient
I bought a suppressor from a manufacturer/dealer that I won't name. I could have sworn that when I bought the suppressor, they showed me the one I was buying and told me that it was simply a matter of having the ATF approve the transfer. I submitted my ATF paperwork (OMB No. 1140-0014) Application f...
