.578 is standard for 45 acp threads so that should be good for your 45 hosts. You would need 1/2 by 28 thread adapter from Gemtech ($85) or your 9 mm (and 22 for that matter) threaded barrels. I do think the blackout is the US industry's answer to the similar problem. Big caliber that can pack a punch in its range, with subsonic capabilities. I am personally intrigued by the 9x39 too.
