Re: dead air mask 22
Nope, perfectly machined. Fit and finish are perfect. I was so pleased that I ordered a Ghost a week after my Mask came in. mt experience, as well. only complaint i have is that i keep unscrewing the body from the mask when i unmount it from a host. maybe i havent smashed down hard enough on it wit...

Re: New .22 Pistol Hosts?
I am going to have a bull barrel Ruger mkII cut, threaded and sight setback. Ive got a couple of the Beretta 71s and the open top slide makes it annoying to shoot because of blowback and crap in your face, suppressed or not suppressed. I still have a first run Walther P22 that runs great, actually.

Re: New .22 Pistol Hosts?
I have looking at the Browning 1911-22 Black Label suppressor ready just wish they would use a steel frame and slide. whats it made from? Im looking at them too. For the price, i would hope they are using good material. Slide is made from aluminum and the frame is made from a composite. Checked one...

Re: Gemtech G5-22
ive always wanted to shoot and hear a g5-22. not many people have them. but i was always intrigued by a larger volume 22lr can. i always thought it would be ideal dedicated can for my 4.5" AR i built last year.
I may try and find one again too....

pistol can length Q
when you form 1 a pistol can, do you measure from the back of the body of the silencer to the front cap or do you include the booster length as well?
can i err on the side of caution and list it as being shorter on the form 1 by half an inch?

Yes I know it's a silencerco. My question was whether he got it from a can he already owned or if he purchased a seperate, complete booster from some place.

Where did you get the booster setup? Was it one you had or you got it seperately? I have been looking for a setup with the end cap and spring for a while but i cant find one anywhere.

Naming and engraving Form 1 can
Now, i know you have to engrave your name (or trust name), city and state on the suppressor you create. BUT..... is there any limit or legality issues with coming up with your own "DBA" or "company name"? For example, i create a can and i fulfill the manufacture engraving require...

Re: Looking for a KAC QDSS Nt4?
I bought one last month, about the time of the OP in this thread. I am so excited to get it, its tough forgetting about it until it gets approved. By far my most anticipated can, and im 10-12 stamps deep at this point and several cans/SBRs into stamp collecting. Found one in black for under $1100. i...

Re: Beretta 71 thread pitch?
they are fun little guns, i have two of them, but the blowback is pretty horrendous with the open top slide design of the Beretta.
Do yourself a favor and use the knurled adapter that is online, not the silencerco branded one. i used both and the knurled one is significantly better quality.

Re: Huntertown Chameleon 308 anyone have one?
I understand that the HTA stuff isnt the greatest but I have seen one fired on a 300 Win Mag and it was better than not having it. I understand from my dealer that they have already delivered one of the cans but I have yet to see mine. saying a can is just better than not having one at all, is not ...

Re: Re:
I'll ask again. Is there a muzzle brake available that will work with a Gemtech Halo, or am I stuck with the A2 flash hider as my only option for the Halo? +1 +2 Griffin Armament makes a damn fine brake/mount with A2-ish dimensions. Their M4SD-II can mounts to the A2 and their brake and FH, as well...

Re: What LocTite do you use for thread on cans and brakes?
i would not use any loc-tite on your Direct thread cans. i think that is asking for trouble. if you have the proper threading and shoulder on your barrel, a good suppressor should be able to be locked down, by hand tightening only, and seldom come loose, though its a good idea to check it throughout...

... No matter what anyone claims, SoS is ONLY dependent on temperature, and has nothing to do with altitude or pressure... Not to pick nits, but a variation in the temperature of air, changes the air pressure/density. Altitude has an effect on the same. Air is often treated as an ideal gas to simpl...

Re: How does a person compute what is subsonic?
here is something i posted a few months ago on another site talking about the speed of sound. No matter what anyone claims, SoS is ONLY dependent on temperature, and has nothing to do with altitude or pressure. Here is how this is done. 1000 FPS is well under the speed of sound. for those wondering,...

Re: most effective .308 suppressor
Thunder Beast Arms 30P-1 for a direct thread or 30BA for a brake attach. They also have several other variations of this suppressor in different lengths. TBAC is commonly thought of as THE suppressor to go with when talking about precision work. its also a rock solid can that handles a ton of stuff....

Re: .22 LR AR15 barrel - for shooting subsonic w/ bulk pack
Not an AR platform, but Clint made me my .22 SBR barrel and the thing shoots lights out. I pretty much shoot CCI standard velocity exclusively. But Ive also tried other bulk ammo(Remington I think) and all of it has stayed subsonic. Good luck http://i234.photobucket.com/albums/ee62/IBSlingin/Guns/I...

Re: .22 LR AR15 barrel - for shooting subsonic w/ bulk pack
i have a CMMG Wasp barrel cut down to 4.5" .... Needless to say, when its below 40 outside, my 4.5" barrel will not keep bulk pack subsonic. What altitude or which city are you at? Altitude has absolutely no bearing on how you calculate the speed of sound. Its only depends on temperature.
