Re: My 4 year battle with AAC to fix a defective suppressor...
I've never had a desire to own an aac can because they just didn't seem good. Arent they the same company someone made a thread about a few years back that had horrible baffle erosion after not much use? Then aac posted and said that's normal? I've heard far more bad things about them than good... A...

Re: 9 months now
So i efiled a form 1 can on a trust on 6/30/16 and still nothing. It's this normal? Going by nfa tracker it looks like the majority of them are going through in 180 days. There's even a bunch in July and August that have been approved already. Do these ever slip through? Should I call to inquire? I...

Re: Does a SilencerCo Hybrid for $400.59 with a $200 SilencerCo store credit sound legit?
That's pretty lame they wouldn't honor it. They are a decent sized company. I'm sure they could have bit any loss to look like a stellar company. I have an 07/02 friend that owns a gun shop selling suppressors. We went to SHOT one year and it blew my mind when he started showing me the dealer pricin...

Re: hearing protection act
I'm just worried this is to small of an issue for most law makers and will once again fall to the wayside. We got a Republican running for governor here in VA who is constantly making Facebook posts about being a strong supporter of the 2A but when I ask him to state his opinion and support for the ...

Specter 2 upgrade worth it?
I know, worth is up to each person but i noticed that silencerco is still doing the upgrades. I have the original specter with the SWR branding on it still and was wondering if the upgraded baffle stack was worth the $200. I know it makes it easier to disassemble for cleaning but is it any quieter a...

Re: Distance to first baffle
That's a lower pressure round isn't it? If that's the case you probably don't need a ton of space. I went with about 1/3 of the can in my rifle cans so roughly 2.5" give it take a tenth or two. Being lower pressure and a reflex i'm willing to bet you would be good with 1.5". But it's just ...

Re: Ks vs Radials
There is certainly a difference, you're right. We need a better name for the "radial" baffle. It's really not radial at all. They used to be called frusto cones, but they're not frustoconical, and normal 60° cones are in fact frustoconical, so that's no good either. then i say we call the...

i cant help you much as im just learning (and failing lol) on making k's myself but im slowly getting it. Luckily i have a buddy that owns a gun shop w/ a shooting booth and hes an 07/02 so i can do a lot of trial and error there. What i was told by a member here thats been helping me, and what im g...

Re: Ks vs Radials
"Radials" (I just call them cones because they're basically cone-shaped and I don't see anything radial about them) are indeed easier to make than K's, especially with a CNC lathe. It's not an enormous difference, but it's significant enough. All things being equal, IMHO a good K baffle w...

but repubs hold all 3 offices. Unknown or not, Trump is taking over on the 20th. That doesn't mean a thing. If you expect actual progress towards freedom and prosperity you will be sadly disappointed. oh im just as disgusted with the repubs as i am with the dems. however, historically, they have su...

Re: Life Expectancy
Hey Guys, Sorry if this has come up, but what's the real life expectancy of a modern suppressor like the tirant or octane? I read an article on Jesse James weird suppressor where he claimed most other suppressors have a 2500 round life expectancy. Seems super low to me or something's not right. But...

Re: octane 45 abnormal wear
hmm :/ kind of a shame to even have to deal with that on an ~$800 can. I tend to hold SilencerCo in very high regard (more so the SWR part). Im sure they will make right, but im curious if its just a mfg defect or how all those pieces are made.

intent...thats how its legal. If its sold with the intent, purchased with the intent, and used with the intent to be nothing other than a weird, oversized muzzle brake; then there is nothing illegal about it. However once you cover it with anything, hell wrap a piece of paper around it, im sure the ...

Re: lost accuracy
just wanted to add here, i built 2 of my form one cans for my .223 AR and my .308 rem 700. Both cans use cones, both cans have all baffles clipped including the blast baffle, and both guns will shoot 1/4" groups at 100yds with or without the cans on. not bragging cause i am by no means a master...
