Hmmm.
My buddy’s can worked just fine on my 7”. I would have thought that harmonics wouldn’t have been so vastly different!?!

Grouping issues
I’m looking for some pointers and thoughts on an issue I’m having: Rifle: 5.56 AR platform SBR w/7” barrel. Brand new. Just finished building it. Ammo: BlackHills 55gr soft tip. Rifle shoots acceptable groupings at 25yd with no suppressor. When I put my 5.56 can (HTG suppressor) on, my grouping goes...

Re: NFA Trust Address after move
Mine was an instate move.....only moved about 5 miles down the road, but my trust was specific enough to include the street number and street. I was, fortunate enough, to use an actual lawyer in the area who does NFA trusts all the time and I cintacted him. I gave him my ew address and ta-da he draf...

NFA Trust Address after move
Ok, so I have moved since I first got my Trust made (and also since buying 2 suppressors). Shortly after the move, I did update my address through the BATF, so all good there. I however, never updated my Trust. Never thought much about it till I began my SBR project. I'm prepping to fill out my form...

SBR Build and barrel questions
Pardon my ignorance here, but looking for some clarification. I currently own a few different suppressors and they were purchased via a trust. I'm now interested in building my own SBR. I'm wanting to make it an AR style SBR. My question is two fold: 1). Can I just buy a lower, barrel, all the other...

Re: I've Moved. How to inform ATF? I've called and no one's
Reading this thread got me thinking. What do people do if they have to move to a state where suppressors are not legal???

Re: CMMG conversion bolt
Grrrrr.....now you have created a mental dilemma. Thanks for the advice though. Honestly, I double my expectations are too high......I'm hoping to be able to shoot .223 that ends up about as loud as .22lr unsuppressed. Hmmmm.....maybe just get both. Haha! Getting 2 cans at the same time would requir...

Re: CMMG conversion bolt
Ok, so after reading a few other posts on this forum and others, I'm beginning to see that maybe trying to get 1 can to work with both .223 and .22LR is possible, but probably not the best idea. I'm starting to think that if I'm going to go suppressed on my AR-15, I want to do it right and not half-...

Re: CMMG conversion bolt
WOW! Thanks for sharing the photos! So, now that I understand that......curious what (if any) cans out there for 5.56 come unsealed. From what I gather, the TAC-16 comes unsealed able for user dissassembly....no? Any recommendations out there? (p.s. THANKS for all your help thus far, you all...

Re: CMMG conversion bolt
Thanks! Sooooo.....if I am gathering correctly, this is how I understand it: I can in fact fire .22LR through my 5.56 can (safely for myself and not hurt rifle/can). However because the .22LR is so much dirtier, it will foul up the suppressor that much quicker. Since most 5.56 cans are not designed ...

Re: CMMG conversion bolt
Everybody here is going to tell you the same thing . Do not shoot rimfire through sealed rifle cans. Look at just one rimfire can with a brick through it and you will see the light. Direct from the GEMTECH FAQ page: "Can I shoot .22LR or other rimfire calibers through my 5.56mm suppressor? Yes...

Re: CMMG conversion bolt
Thanks! I look forward to hear what others have to say on this.
That said....if shooting both types of rounds can be done safely for shooter and gun with out damage to gun/can, are there certain cans that would be better suited for doing this?

CMMG conversion bolt
I am looking to get a can for my AR-15. I also periodically shoot this rifle with my CMMG .22lr conversion bolt ( http://www.cabelas.com/magazines-clips-cmmg-22-15-conversion-kit-1.shtml . I still use the same upper (.223/5.56), but shoot the .22lr with the conversion bolt. If I use this conversion ...
