Re: Newb. Advice on 7.62/5.56 supressor
You know the SF works for what you want. It is also the oldest tech and most expensive (heaviest too?)
With any others discussed I have yet to see:
CB - can off
CB - can on
5 rounds warm / fouled - can off
5 rounds warm / fouled - can on

I have a different viewpoint. I find it absolutely laughable that a man who popularized the phrase 'Cake Decorator' when describing other bike builders that merely hung superfluous crap off a bike checks in with the absolute dogsh*t he has put out. "Skeletonized" - cool beans dude… you've ...

Re: Doc Dater says ti better than steel for heat, and more
Destabilization and fragmentation - not saying the man is wrong, but I'm gonna need to see some math on that one. Ambient temp + projectile traveling through a super heated barrel for X time period = Y increase in core temp of the projectile which result in deformation of the projectile in flight. O...

Re: Mod 2 Availability?
I picked mine up today. This is my first SR15 (have a 25 ER). Just looking at it - pretty good. Really nice trigger (far better than my 25). Keymod is a little different. Part of me says sell this ASAP for a few dollars more and find a new Mod1 upper and call it good. I have an LPR upper showing up ...

Re: 30 cal can for precision shooting
I know money is always a issue but a integral suppressor is possibly the best way to go for a precision rifle. They can be more accurate, without POI shift plus you don't have this ungainly weight attached to the end of your barrel.Cost would be about the same as a high dollar can.Lets face it most ...

Re: 30 cal can for precision shooting
Couple thoughts: - w/ full power ammo they all sound about the same based on the materials used to construct (Stainless vs Ti) - Single point attachment (direct thread on) are generally more accurate - Ti is lighter weight, much more expensive and has a higher pitch. You should research Ti, heat tol...

Re: Using a Surefire SOCOM 7.62 Can on a 5.56?
Full power ammo sounds about the same through them all. There 4 things that count: 1) Accuracy 2) Mounts 3) Warranty 4) Accuracy SFs are accurate and have (thus far) the best QD mounts. Their warranty is second to none. The Specwar may be tits, but it needs to prove itself first. I have an 5.56 SF c...

SWR 3 Lug Removal?
So my 3 Lug has a tendency to not want to unscrew from the suppressor (top ring with the 3 holes). Is there a tool I was supposed to get to remove this? Do folks have good tips to remove it (aside from jamming a punch in it and forcing it to turn?)

Re: Pistol Barrel Thread Preference
Depends on what you want to shoot. "In this Country…" .45 ACP is .578 x 28, 40 S&W is 9/16 x 24, and 9mm and .22 are 1/2 x 28. If you want to use it on a variety of hosts, you will end up with a variety of mounts. *I* don't do metric. Some 'no compromise' types do. All depends on the p...

So just for fun - what are they going to next? IIRC (in order) The rimfire cans were upgraded to two of the most superlative options out there. Then came pistol offerings from Silencerco, only to be later (bettered) by SWR. Now they have very good SWR rifle cans that will be followed (bettered) by t...

Re: Review: Liberty Suppressors Chaotic
The main reason you don't see a ton of cans like this is because in terms of performance, diameter (volume) is no replacement for length and additional baffles. The 'task' of the can is to strip away gas from the bore, you need baffles along the path of the gas to accomplish this. You end up with a...
