Re: Dumped the DISH
+1 The wife and I spent ~$80 on a quality amplified antenna for the attic and we pull in all the major networks, CW, all the Public broadcast stations and a few others. We got a great deal on a "Smart TV" and now use that to stream Netflix and Hulu Plus. I pay like $16 a month for the subs...

Re: Silencerco Picture Thread
Not a picture, but a moving picture. 8) Just picked up my Spectre II and just had to give it a try inside. Shooting CCI standards through it from inside my sunroom. Lots of tile/glass/brick to bounce the sound around. Crappy cellphone video, but I'm very pleased with the performance. Hopefully will ...

Re: Government shutdown affects on NFA processing??
Well, while sitting down in the dumps about my Form 4 sitting in limbo for another month due to this aforementioned nonsense, I got a phone call from my LGS. "Your tax stamp came in Mr. White, you can come pick up your item whenever you'd like." I made this face for 24 hours straight. :mrg...

Thanks Bender. I figured it couldn't be that unique of a situation, but I was still concerned. I'm sure I'll feel better once I speak to the store manager.

Need Some Guidance - Gun Shop Owner Dead
Hey Everyone, Right now I am in the waiting process for my first can, an SWR Spectre II purchased from my local gun store. I just heard that the owner lost his battle to leukemia last weekend. I was very saddened to hear this, however I'm also concerned about what this may mean for me and others who...

Sounds like a fun day.
Pleased to hear yet another good report on the Spectre II's performance as I wait for my stamp.

I can pretty much tell you without translating that unless you bought something huge, that's a pretty steep shipping fee.

Another vote to buying it. They're really great once you get a nice scope on it and have it dialed in. Probably one of my favorite guns that I own. Here's mine: http://i1016.photobucket.com/albums/af284/ariwhiteboy/IMG_20130122_071730.jpg I think I payed $300 for the whole setup with Scope and bi-po...

I looked at your profile and there is no way to contact you except by posting on the forum. Do you have a web site? how do I order a holster? What options? How much? Yes yes...I really like the one you made for the person in the orange shirt. Love to have something like that for the Walther and Spe...

Yeah the guns are slowly trickling back in. I had to blink twice when I walked into the aforementioned LGS and saw a whole wall with a dozen+ ARs.

Re: Quit buying ammo at inflated prices.
I recently saw .22 Golden Bullets at my LGS for $48 per 525.
Hopefully my pole lasts long enough that I don't have to buy it at that price.

Re: Do these Silencerco ads seem like a good idea to ANYONE?
I saw these a few weeks ago and wasn't too pleased. I agree that S Co. isn't suggesting you do this and they're well within every letter of the law I can think of, but it just doesn't sit well. To me it kinda comes off as, "Well, here's what you shouldn't do...we'll tell you because we all know...

Re: Silencerco LE Statement
That's an interesting practice. I like this much more than the common"We won't sell to LE when civilians can't buy" policies we're seeing issued by other companies. Seems like a very well thought out rationale. It's not just saying, "you're wrong." It's saying "You're wrong,...

Re: How Much Self-Defense Stuff Do You Carry?
I like my Glock 26 but I know it just doesn't "work" for some. No attempt to convert someone here. I can shoot it pretty well, it usually puts several pairs of rounds in the same holes at 15ft and I can hit a man sized silhouette center mass at 25ft. I'll probably never be in a situation w...
