Re: Suggestions for a new compact 9mm suppressor host?
Are 1911s good suppressor hosts? I know the barrel link pin draws the barrel down in a circular motion vs the straight angle of the blower barrel lugs of polymer guns. Maybe his would help a decoupler- free can to cycle?

Wow. Mine does not want to function on my G19 or my PPX with either type of ammo. What guns are you using?

Re: Suggestions for a new compact 9mm suppressor host?
Thanks for the replies guys. I never heard of that Boberg gun before! Very interesting design - a bullpup pistol! I have been thinking about a softer recoil spring on the Glock. I am worried that it will not have enough force to peel the next round out of the magazine and into the chamber. Also, wha...

Suggestions for a new compact 9mm suppressor host?
I am looking for a 9mm suppressor host that has a non-tilting barrel. The barrel can be fixed or it can slide back but not tilt. Any suggestions here? I know the Beretta 92 family of pistols is an option. Not a bad gun but I want some other options. Here is the back story: I have a fast-access gun s...

Re: Numbers for Guardian 9 by Huntertown Arms
I have one. It's not bad. I have heard an Octane 9 on the same host and I think the Octane 9 is noticeably quieter, though I have not heard them back to back. I was super short on cash when I bought my Guardian 9 so I am okay with it. I simply could not afford an Octane 9. However, being in the posi...

Very cool. Can't wait to see one in person. I thought I read someone on this board that changing the length was not allowed. I guess it is after all? Something about leftover suppressor parts needing a separate stamp I think...? Looks like these guys are doing it too. http://www.griffinarmament.com/...

Re: Basic questions about suppressor use indoors
Well, I scanned the article, and it seems to address cases where suppressors are illegally possessed and used for one purpose or another. If one lives in a state where they are legal, and has jumped through the appropriate legal hoops to get one, then is there still a danger of using one in self de...

Re: Basic questions about suppressor use indoors
I was in a room where a 9mm semi auto pistol was shot. My ears did ring for a short while (for seconds, not minutes) and I remember thinking "What was that bang? What's wrong with my hearing???" before I quickly figured out a gun had been shot. However, I was not in a self defense situatio...

Re: Beretta CX-4 and 922(r), sporting rifles, etc. I need id
I think the gun is 922(r) compliant out of the box. There is no need to have X number of US parts... you just can't have more than 10 foreign parts. Out of the box, the gun has 10 foreign parts, so as long as you don't add more foreign parts I believe you're okay. I think this includes the foreign m...

Re: Beretta CX-4 and 922(r), sporting rifles, etc. I need id
I think what the guy (watcher) is saying is that by cutting a foreign thumbhole stock apart you create a foreign pistol grip and a foreign buttstock. One foreign part turns into two foreign parts for purposes of 922(r). Fortunately that has nothing to do with my situation. I kind of like thumbhole s...

Looks like this has already been resolved. Apparently the rifle is 922 compliant as it is.

Re: Beretta CX-4 and 922(r), sporting rifles, etc. I need id
It's not that I'm cheap, I just don't think it's money well spent on that platform. Kind of like those $4,000 chrome wheels I put on my ratty '86 Skylark. Ops! :) Adding enough 922R parts IS an option unless you are just cheap. They are out there, just not too cheap. I did not know this. Can you giv...

Beretta CX-4 and 922(r), sporting rifles, etc. I need ideas!
I'm considering a suppressor for the Beretta CX4 carbine. What I want to do is have the barrel cut down and permanently attach a "muzzle brake" or "flash hider" similar to the Sig design that is under review. You know, the one where the gun comes with a permanently attached mono ...

Re: Has USPS made suppressors non-mailable?
So if I'm reading this correctly, the consensus is that I am not permitted to mail my suppressor to myself via USPS. For example, let's say I get on an airplane in suppressor-friendly state A and fly to suppressor-friendly state B, but I don't want to take the suppressor on the airplane. I want to m...

Re: Whitehouse.gov petition to remove silencers from the nfa
Thank you!! Freedom dies for a simple reason: because defending a never ending stream of attacks is a losing proposition. The left - and sometimes the right - asks for legislation which hampers firearm-freedoms in some way. We protest, then they settle for less. They always either break-even or win....

I signed it. At least we have the right to petition the government in this country. It's not to be taken for granted.
Some countries don't allow petitioning the government. Their citizens die fighting for such rights...

I see nothing wrong with what HE is doing, just enables the illiterate masses more. Agreed. This is an invitation to attract the wrong kind of attention. Re: Is e-file taking Form 4 submissions?
That addition to the regulatory code could open up a can of worms. The law passed by Congress specifically singles out individuals for the LEO sign off, finger print cards, etc. By doing that, it may imply that the intention was to not regulate trusts, corporations, etc., in the same manner. In thes...

Re: OVERRUN 9MM MICRO SUPPRESSOR $189 BLOWOUT!
You should contract Brooks - I bet there are still some left. The article is interesting. It recommends never shooting JHP through the suppressor because it begins expanding while in the suppressor. (That's a greatly simplified statement - read the article to get the full story.) I've never heard th...
