Re: Whitehouse.gov petition to remove silencers from the nfa
Why would we want to mess with the chance of Big Sugar raising a lowly $200 tax fee from 1934 to $3,500+ to cover inflation :?: All that fun and waiting for the toys you have today through the current process will be all for nothing if over turned  Seriously though, I don't think its a sound id...

Re: Beretta 89 target pistol threaded?
Does Tornado Tech do a good job ? I thought I heard they use adhesives on many adapters
Bender, I thought I read that they used an adhesive for the HK P7 adapter. I remember someone showing a picture of it coming off years ago. I don't know who else does HK p7 threads Maybe they weld it now.

Lowest bore to hand axis in 45 pistol....Glock?
Does Glock have the lowest hand to bore axis of the 45s? What other makes and models will be close to Glock? Is HK better than 1911s and Sigs or about the same in having the bore high above your hand?

Best way to quiet 10/22 action?
Are any of the bolt locks for the 10/22 worth the try or do you just use your thumb when you want quiet? I'd rather not have to drill or alter anything. Is there a simple device to keep the bolt closed for those few times of needing quiet but allows you to quickly change back over to semi without to...

Re: Best way to clean aluminum baffles...
I've lightly used those yellow lead removing clothes. Don't rub too much as it likely erodes the aluminum away too :| I use plenty of oil in the process. Other than that I'm hoping for a magic solution to be announced some day that takes away lead but doesn't harm aluminum. Only light scraping and p...

22 Blackbox vs 22 Osprey
If there were ever a 22 can made like the Osprey or the legendary Blackbox would it be a hot seller or do folks typically prefer cylinder 22 cans? I was wondering what the shortest length could be for a box shape 22 can to be on par in DB reduction with the top tier cylinder cans? Could a 22 Osprey/...

Would a 6" Sparrow make the Spectre obsolete?
Given the popularity and effectiveness of the little 5" Sparrow, would the Spectre become less desirable if SilencerCo ever made an additional larger Sparrow offering at 6" providing it had greater FRP reduction? Would a special inch longer Sparrow lose most of the FRP or need a little red...

Re: Minnesota Suppressor Legalization Petition
That would be great, but I bet the DNR and L.E. come out strongly against it and the DFL will site their concern. They'll say poaching will skyrocket. Maybe too hand wringing libs in Murderapolis will say the streets will get bloodier but in a sinister silent way  Seriously though, theres a...

Re: Questions about building AR 9mm SBX barrel
With the 10/22 SBX I think my can sticks out just under an inch, which is plenty. I think 1/2" would be about minimum, unless you have thin fingers. It would look better if you limited it to just a cylinder can and not the Osprey. The Osprey would require a fairly large cavity in the shroud as ...

Re: New GM45 can noticably quieter than Blackside 45?
mk, Gemtech does a good job of keeping their cans smaller than most. They just aren't as quiet as you know. The Blackside 45 does a good job as a small wet can, especially on a long gun(no LID/booster). The smaller AAC Tirant-s can that the military uses has about the same DB reduction as the Blacks...

Re: No FRP 22 rimfire cans?
57fair, that's interesting. What feature is in the element that helps it almost eliminate frp that other cans cant quite do? It seems smaller than the Spectre as well. Also, Do any of the makers open up the baffle passage and end cap a little more than others to ensure less chances of a baffle strik...

Does SilencerCo have a walk in store?
Is there a walk-in store in Utah to drop off an Osprey for a cleaning and upgrade to pinless housing or to buy merchandise/parts? Or is their business strictly online/phone? I do not trust mailing a suppressor any longer as I've heard enough horror stories with thieves.

Re: 10/22 barrel
With the right lightweight stock(Axiom or AGP) and open/peep sights this SBX barrel allows a compact yet sub 4lb rifle, even with an aluminum 2-3oz suppressor attached. Of course it would be better to have a steel breech face.

No FRP 22 rimfire cans?
Been away from the market a while. What are the quietest 22 cans that do not have FRP today? I'd rather not have to wet my can if I don't have to. I always thought the first shot is always the most critical in hunting and never understood why folks are so tolerant of FRP in some of the 22 cans on th...

bender, that's probably correct. I thought by now someone would have patent that design. I guess they all like to copy one another and feel like they are reinventing the wheel when they tweak it a little Oh well, it must be a great design then and a win for the customer.

New Gemtech pistol silencers for 2014. GM= General Motors?
Anyone know what GM stands for in their GM45 and GM9? Their new 45 sounds like it has a niche in the market: 1.25" diameter, 6.2" length and just 5.5 oz (no LID/booster) 32-35 wet, 21-23 dry db reduction. The monocore baffles look like a SilCo Sparrow
