I prefer the M13.5 due to the O ring that helps keep the can from loosening.

Re: O1 FFL repair suppressor?
Unfortunately the NFA Handbook is wrong on a lot of counts. The question at hand is can a type 1 FFL repair NFA firearms? The answer is yes. Whether the FFL chooses to pay ITAR is on them.

Re: O1 FFL repair suppressor?
Yes, an 01 can take it in for gunsmith work. If any parts need to be replaced, the FFL must be paying ITAR fees. I doubt your 01 is paying ITAR. Just fyi A gunsmith can replace parts one for one without ITAR. Here's the document that breaks it down. https://www.pmddtc.state.gov/compliance/documents...

Re: Price of suppressors IF Hearing Protection Act is passed
Another thing to consider is FAET (excise tax). Currently, all NFA firearms are exempt from the 11% FAET. When (if) silencers are classified as title 1 firearms, FAET will be due on each silencer made (>49 per year). As long as demand is high, prices will not go down. If anything, prices will increa...

SS is no longer selling retail, they're a distributor only. They're setting up the deal through their dealer network who can charge whatever, but they cannot charge you any extra for transfer etc That's how they explained it to me, I just think that when every single local they have lists the exact...

Re: Larsondavis sound meter
The Larson Davis Digital meters do not meet Mil-Std testing requirements. Rise time is 30 micro seconds and the sample rate is 51,200. Rise time should be 20 micro seconds or less and 160,000 sample rate to meet the standard. The Larson Davis 800B meets the standards when set up properly. What abou...

Re: Liberty Regulator
Anybody want to loan me a 2209? I'll run it and the Larson side-by-side and put this to rest. For dealers, the QpR is sufficient for what customers want to know; is x suppressor quieter than y. Yes, we know there are many more variables to consider such as tone, weight, POI shift and flash suppressi...

Re: Dead Air Mask-22
115 is actually pretty decent. Element is 114/115 at best on rifles. Spectre 2 115/116. It's significantly shorter than the Spectre 2, so if it preforms the same that's not too shabby. The Regulator sounds fantastic at 111-114 dB depending on the host, and it's much longer than the Mask. The initia...

Re: Dead Air Mask-22
I agree, the Mask is my new favorite. It has a nice tone, easy to take apart, easy to clean, great machining and it's quiet too. My Element and Element 2 can now be retired. Not really, the Elements still perform well.

I've had an Ultra 7 for about a month but haven't really done any comparison testing. My Ultra 9 is in with regular production and should be heading my way by the end of June. By then I should have some time to get to the range.

Below are the laws for clarification. And by those definitions, a piston would qualify as a part solely intended for use in a suppressor. Do we really want to poke the bear on this? TITLE 18, UNITED STATE CODE, CHAPTER 44 § 921 Definitions (a) As used in this chapter— (24) The terms "firearm si...

Sorta. A few of us were selling them at 399 before SilencerShop was. They just bought a LOT more than the rest of us.Bradpierson26 wrote:I knowRJT wrote: Too bad everyone will have to pay full retail now.
IMHO, SS is the only reason we're not still paying $799 for TI-rants.

At its price point, you'll be hard pressed to find a better .30 caliber suppressor. Even with the brake, it is an extremely quiet suppressor. Get one on the demo program and try it out.

Re: SilencerShop and Liberty Suppressors calling it quits!
FFL's can NOT ship silencers to people. Period. I don't like the regulations, but I do comply with them. See 27 CFR 478.96, MAIL ORDER SALES OF FIREARMS (IN-STATE, NICS EXEMPT). ATF even has a procedure how to handle mail order sales, ATF Procedure-2013-2. And yes, I ship silencers to clients almos...
