I have this experience with the Bowers Vers 50; Used for 50 BMG. 647 grain bullets with Trail Boss and Red Dot both with loads that result in subsonic velocity, MagnetoSpeed chrono. The Bowers unit increases the velocity about 50 fps from non-suppressed velocity. Platform; 22 inch barrel, 1-15 twist...

Re: How much hassle is a SBR?

Why does the NFA Tracker have Efile Form 4s showing submitted and stamped in the last year?
I thought no Efile for form 4.
Oh and there a lot of SBRs listed there, they are popular.

Re: Stability

Well, the JBM number is between 2 and 3 for my loads with Red Dot and Trail Boss (647 gr projectile), I am getting some key holes at 50 plus yards. A thin sheet of paper was the target.
I should have known that 647 gr 50 BMG is too large for stable subsonic use.

JBM has online calculator. Does anyone know if the higher the number is better or is 2-3 the optimal range?
Thanks,

In the past, plans and specs were not required. Maybe your form 1 was missing the length or caliber information, just a guess. You probably will need to call them.

I am thinking of loading subsonic 50 bmg. I have heard of a load using Reddot with 690 gr bullets. I wonder if Trail Boss is a possiblity? Any thoughts will be appreciated. Thanks.

I do not know everthing

Is 1 inch by 14 thread pitch, 1x14, the same as 1x14LH? I see this on some large bore offerings. Are there both right had and left hand in this size?

Thanks
