Re: Options for unused suppressor?

Has anyone ever successfully sleeved a can to increase the pressure rating? Yes we have however the ratings is moe limited based on the tube threads than the tube thickness. We did ours a little differently so the tube was inconsequential when we were done with it. Can you elaborate what you meant ...

Options for unused suppressor?

I've got a 9mm micro can from a smaller manufacturer that is pretty much useless. It uses a very crude monocore. It won't function on anything but my super tuned race gun, and is extremely loud even on my .22's. I know what is reasonable to expect from a short can (4" long) but I've had multiple peo...

Why is is soo hard to just call somebody and have a conversation like a grown-assed-adult IF someone has specific question? Seems to work for most people. Brooks is a hell of a guy, he would be happy to have a conversation and answer any questions. As far as this internet lawyer crap,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,...

Good to know that the TM baffle design breaks that data point.....not a good thing.
Dumb question: how does the baffle design affect cycling? Not enough back pressure or something?

Re: OVERRUN 9MM MICRO SUPPRESSOR $189 BLOWOUT!

any more reviews of these? Looking for some reviews as well. I bought one from Brooks back in November(ish). My F3 is still pending. I heard about it through another forum's suppressor's sub-forum. I'm hoping it compiments my Spectre II and Ti-rant 9mm well and if it won't function on a G19/17, it'...

Re: Want to learn is possible intigrul barrel/susspressed Ti

Short answer is yes, it's possible.

If SBR's are legal in your state you might consider going that route so you can use your existing suppressor.

Re: OVERRUN 9MM MICRO SUPPRESSOR $189 BLOWOUT!

I regret mine. Why? Is it your only can? Nope. I have 3 others (2 SilCo and 1 Liberty). It won't cycle on my guns. I could use it for a nice light .22lr can but it is horrible on .22. As in "might as well not have it on there" loud. I'm having a 9mm Double stack 2011 built with a lightened slide. M...

Re: owners/shooters of TM Poseidon & TiRant 9S?

I have a TM can very similar to the Poseidon. I would spend 3x times the money if I could go back and get the Ti-Rant 9S instead. I think I have the same can (DBS) that I got a smoking deal on. This combo with the wipe is wonderful for about 3 rounds, after that...not so much. Now I love it, if you...

I have a guy who custom cut me an 8" from a Pac-Nor blank for $265. He would do a 6" no questions asked. It turned out very well and I wouldn't hesitate to order from him again.

PM me for info.

Re: 300 series stainless as tube material

does your design incorporate a spacer for the blast chamber? if so I would not hesitate to make it .065". if your wall thickness is the only thing containing the blast, you may consider going thicker. I have one that is .100" 316L SS with no spacer. But, I've only ran it on a 16 inch barrel.....no ...

Re: 300 series stainless as tube material

Looking at my Specwar that's what I figured. So the blast chamber is actually Stellite? The tube isn't taking the pressure? Blast chamber is not stellite, the baffles are stellite. So the 316SS tube is able to contain that pressure? How can I be sure my 316SS tube can take the pressure from a 10" b...

300 series stainless as tube material

I'm considering doing a Form 1 can using 316 stainless with 1.5" OD and 0.065" wall thickness. I found an article by Dr. Dater of Gemtech. He has some pressure data from testing he performed. http://sadefensejournal.com/wp/?p=573 Assuming the data is correct, and the blast chamber pressure is roughl...

Re: Corrosion from shooting wet?

Also consider making a cheese cloth bag and filling it with a cup full of rice, it absorbs water effectively in closed surround. You might also think of swabbing a thin film of Permatex anti-seize on all internal parts and threads to mitigate crud's adherence. Even if you try to wipe it away a desi...

Re: Corrosion from shooting wet?

Just picked up some more walnut shell. I'm going to start throwing the baffles into the tumbler after shooting the can wet. Or just not shoot wet at all as it was more trouble than it's worth.

Thanks for the advice, gentlemen.

Re: Corrosion from shooting wet?

I think I'm going to try to tumble it in walnut shell tonight. It would be easy to take it apart and throw the baffles in the tumbler for an hour after shooting wet. The walnut shell would soak up any moisture as well as remove some of the fouling.
