Noveske Barrels W, Silencerco Can
I was reading the description of Noveske's 300 blk out barrel for possible purchase, and they stated that their barrels are tested and tuned to the SDN-6. Their disclaimer was that K baffle cans were susceptible to POI shift and possibly baffle strikes? Are Silencerco rifle cans usable on noveske ba...

Re: ASR brake issues
Sorry for not following up on this thread. First, I was able to figure out the issue with the brake today. Apparently when I heated it up with the torch, I held it with a pliers as I turned it off with my flat wrench. Mount was so hot from torch. I must have held it too tight. I deformed the first p...

ASR brake issues
I swapped 700's with a guy off a local forem. He wanted a 26" barrel and I wanted a 1-10 twist .308...no issues I removed my ASR brake before trade. Remounted it on new 700. Now neither my specwar or hybrid will thread on the brake. I have a special wrench I ground flat so I can tighten or loos...

Hybrid w/muzzleloader
I am looking at purchasing a new muzzleloader that will use smokeless powder. That said, I started to think that since its smokeless I could use the hybrid I have coming to suppress it. If I use a copper jacketed, non-sabot bullet, I cannot see it being an issue. Maybe someone from silencerco/ forum...

Re: Best 9mm Suppressor?
Octane 9hd or the octane .45 had for the versatility...I have the octane 9 and cannot say anything bad about it. Works great and easy to clean. That's just my limited experience. I am sure there are others out there that are great but for the money I think the octane is worth the initial investment.

Re: Suppresser For .30cal and .223cal.
I have the 7.62 specwar, and run it on .223 and .30. Runs great, and suppresses .223 on my 10.5 sbr to hearing safe levels...at least for me. My .308 sounds like .22 mag. Very quiet. Subsonic absolutely awesome. Hope this helps

Also, is there a list of Minimum Barrel lengths for supersonic loads? Thanks

Re: Bayou Bullets (Hi-Tek Coating) and osprey
Never shot the Bayou Bullets but have shot lots of the precision coated bullets through my Octane. It leaves a nasty coating on the baffles and usually requires me to have to scrape it off even after a cycle in the ultrasonic cleaner. I don't think the green Bayou bullets will be cleaner...Just my e...

Re: Tikka 3+1, .308, having barrel threaded
My local GS cut my sporter weight Remington 700 barrel back to 20 inches from 22 inches and threaded it 5/8x24 for my specwar. I didn't think there was enough barrel, but he did it while I watched w/o any problems. Probably should call your gunsmith and give him the outside diameter measurements. He...

Same thing happened to me. Call and get RMA number( i believe that is what its called)and send it back in. They will fix it and get it back to u in about two days. Also they will probably install an updated blast baffle as well. Turn around is quick and customer service is good. BTW... If you leave ...

7.62 Specwar on 5.56 SBR
What is the shortest barrel I can mount my specwar 7.62 on? I know guys are mounting it on 8 inch Blackout, but what about a 5.56 firing supersonic rounds? I have a brake on my 11 inch 5.56, and it seems fine.

Re: 7.62 Specwar on a 5.56?
I have the specwar 7.62, and run it on my 5.56. Its hearing safe for me on a 11 inch ar-15. I have not heard what it will do on a 16 inch. I assume it will be quieter at the ear. I can tell you that you do get gassed in the face. I cannot say that it is excessive since I have very little experience ...

Re: 3 lug stability?
I did a lot of checking and even used a dowel to check for bullet clearance but in the end I just went out and shot my new build. No baffle strikes or any issues. I think I was just being paranoid.
Thanks,
Thanks,

Re: 3 lug stability?
I would like to add a question: I have a new TROS 5 inch 3 lug barrel, and a Octane 9 hd with swr's 3 lug adapter. I installed the can w/adapter to the barrel. I checked and I feel like there is too much movement once installed. I eyeballed the bullet path and it seems like it will clear w/o a baffl...

Re: Are those portable 2000-4000 watt generators worth it?
Just be careful back feeding juice to your panel from a portable generator. I was told by the electrician that installed my transfer switch that without it you can put power back through a line that is dead and being worked on by the power company and be potentially dangerous. I am not the man when ...

Re: Another silly question
I get the baffles clean in the ultrasonic...How is everyone cleaning the tube and behind the birdcage ? I see from the posts some people are using Simple green, but are you putting it in the ultrasonic? Wouldn't that cause the lock tight to come loose that is used to secure the birdcage? If so, what...

Re: Ultrasonic cleaner to remove lead
Go to Home Depot and get the Zep industrial cleaner. Use the orange colored citrus. 50/50 with distrilled water. My octane 9 baffles come out clean after 90 minutes at 140 degrees. Purple power did nothing but waste electricity.

Light Primer Strikes
(Host is Glock 17/Lone Wolf barrel with Oct-9HD) I started experiencing a multitude of light primer strikes after approximately 800 rounds. I tried switching powder, bullets and brass. I also made sure to seat the primers as firmly as reasonably allowed (Wold Primers). Same result. I made a jump dow...

Re: Can't Remove Octane 9 HD (CTA) Expansion Chamber
I had the same problem. I tried tapping the tube on wood, and spraying it with rem oil. That didnt do the job. In the end I took an old pair of tweezers, bent the tips on an angle so they slid between the birdcage/booster housing and tube. Couple of taps and the expansion chamber slid right out. Hop...
