Re: drawing help
I used eMachineshop to do mine. It was intended as a way to have parts made for you and get a quote done for people wanting random parts made without a shop at hand. I just printed my design and stopped short of the quote process. It has a tutorial when you first open it up. It can be a little hard ...

Re: Visual Essay on Rifling A Barrel
Informative little video. I had never seen the hammer forging process before on a barrel. I have seen part of the cut rifling process at a local shop. It is fascinating work.

Re: Need constructive criticism
Thanks for the pointers guys. I'll pull it up tomorrow at work and make the recommended changes. You've given me more precise areas to read up on. Cpt. Link, I actually got my stamp in the mail Saturday. I've been reading everything I can here for the last year trying to learn as much as possible be...

Need constructive criticism
I finally got my form 1 stamp back and have a design in mind, but wanted to run it by the more knowledgeable folks here before I waste a 8.5 month wait and $200. I liked the simple look of the 60° smooth cones and the ability to rotate them around, so that is what I was looking at. The baffles are b...

Re: iPhone Range Finder App
It looks like a basic mil dot calculator where you input target size and your mil reading and it calculates distance for you. For a free app, not bad and very simple. What is nice about it is that it shows the math to you for calculating the range. I use a paid for app called Ballistic AE and it is ...

Re: Easy Monocore Build
Would love to see a heads up comparison with your last cone baffle can for the HMR using the same host and ammo. It looks to be close in length and width. Great work and clean looking as usual.

Re: Experimental 17 HMR can
What O.A.L. and diameter did you go with? I am looking to do a F1 project for my HMR as soon as my stamp comes back. Looking forward to your test results.

Re: Form 1 details
Thanks for the clarification Bakerjw. I'll have to really do my homework. I suppose that means class 7 only blast baffle replacement too. I think I know a local class 7 guy. May have to get on his good side incase things don't go we'll.

Re: Form 1 details
Thanks Bendersquint, that seems easy enough. I'm guessing there will be no problem with changing out baffles later if the original design is insufficient since they won't know anything other than length and caliber of the exterior can  . When you specify caliber, is it wise to specify 25cal as...

Form 1 details
Hi all, new guy here who has been reading all day and am glad I came here. Have seen some of my questions answered already, got a few more though :? . I am looking to build my own suppressor and QD. I have downloaded the Form 1 and an example of how to fill it out. After looking at it, I think I am ...
