If the machine shop happens to be a Class VII dealer - then it's "legal" for them to do the conversion?

And what about the function?

Modifying a suppressor / legalities and function?

So, I have a YHM Phantom Stainless QD in 5.56. It is a full one-piece non-user serviceable can. Question 1: Is it legal to take it to a machine shop and have the travel channels drilled out so that it will work with 300 blk? Question 2: Will doing so actually allow the suppressor to function with a ...

Re: Cerakote on a Suppressor - turned out well

Good hell. It took forever and it's not what I had envisioned, but it's what I had time to do. I'm breaking down everything and packing for my move to Las Vegas - so this will be the last video I make until +/- September. But here is the reveal video: [youtube]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ybaBHS0...

Clinger's "No-Print Wonder" Holster - Initial Impressions

So, after my debacle with another IWB style holster, a suggestion came my way to check out Clinger's holsters - specifically their No-Print Wonder Holster. Disclosure: I've only been using it for 2 days. My thoughts: It's a good $60.00 holster. It reminds me of the style of the CTAC holster - but wi...

So, I started a YouTube channel....

Ok - so I'm jumping into YouTube with both feet and adding myself to the huge and overwhelming list of channels dedicated to firearms. Some of you all already hate me for my posts regarding AlienGear - and how I gave them bad reviews. I get that. I'm not even sure this kind of post is allowed, so my...

Re: I get threatened after calling out my senator on some BS gun talk.

Good response in the 2nd video, explaining fully about the importance of the 2nd in relation to the 1st, 14th and other amendments to the constitution. As an outsider to WV, however, I didn't understand the link in your first video to Senator Manchin's duplicity and taking Bloomberg's money, to you...

I get threatened after calling out my senator on some BS gun talk.

In West Virginia we've been trying to get a Constitutional Carry bill passed. It passed the House by a wide margin and it passed the Senate by 30-4 - a true landslide. Then Bloomberg got involved - started tossing money to Sen. Joe Manchin who took to the airways and started telling all sorts of lie...

Alien Gear Cloak Slide and Cloak Tuck 2.0 Reviews...

Ok, so in my search for a good, slim, OWB holster I decided to give Alien Gear a try. I am posting these videos because I have found, what I consider to be, safety issues that I feel anyone who has or is considering purchasing an Alien Gear holster should be aware of. I have also brought these to th...

Alien Gear Holsters - my experience wasn't a great one...

Ok - so here is the full video review I did on the Alien Gear Cloak Slide holster for the Springfield XDS-4.0 in .45acp... The short is that I don't think this is a safe holster for two reasons. 1) The belt loop straps are too narrow and not enough material around the grommets. This could cause a fa...

DeSantis E-GAT Holster Review

I just finished doing a review of the DeSantis E-GAT holster - this one specifically for the XDS-4.0 .45acp - but I would assume the other fits would be the same:

Got the XDS - took this photo of it yesterday.

Bar-Sto will be making threaded barrels soon - all is well with the world.

Re: Springfield XDS-4.0 .45 threaded barrel availability?

I contacted every mainstream manufacturer of barrels and the only positive response I got was from Bar-Sto Precision Machine who said they ARE going to be making them - but they don't yet know when availability will happen.. Took this photo yesterday of my SDX-4.0 .45 ACP. I love this gun. http://im...

Springfield XDS-4.0 .45 threaded barrel availability?

Got a question for you fine folks: I am considering getting a Springfield .45, specifically the XDS 4" barrel. This will be mostly a dedicated CCW weapon as I am buying it specifically for it's thinness and will be wearing it with a suit on most days. Also, before anyone mentions unreliability ...

Re: LEO Only L1A1 in Civilian hands...

Is it a MARS imports? There were a number of FALs imported as far back as the 1960s that were readily converted to full auto. They were not classified as machine guns and were later required to have modifications made before importation to make them non-readily convertible. They are in the same cla...

LEO Only L1A1 in Civilian hands...

I have an L1A1 that was given to me about 15 +/- years ago by my step father. He was the Captain of a sheriff's department in North Carolina and had recently retired. At the time I didn't think much about it and simply shot it, cleaned it, and used it on a rare occasion when I felt like punishing my...

Re: DIY Subsonic 5.56 rounds

Will it cycle? It does not cycle. However, I"m both working on that AND debating why I should as the cycling action is MUCH louder than the actual shot. http://www.zbranepresov.sk/image/cache/data/Strelivo/Pi%C5%A1to%C4%BE%20a%20revolver/22lrssssubsonic-500x500.jpg este alludes to, without act...

Re: DIY Subsonic 5.56 rounds

I wanted to look further into the differences between using and not using a cotton filler. So, here is what I learned today. I created two batches. Matched brass. Batch 1 was using a 69gr Sierra Match King #1380 with 4.6 grains of Trail Boss and cotton filler Batch 2 was using a 69gr Sierra Match Ki...

DIY Subsonic 5.56 rounds

I've been tinkering with handloading subsonic 5.56 for a while. I developed a nice subsonic 55 grain round a while back and just now getting around to working "down" a load for a 69 grain subsonic 5.56. Instead of creating a step-by-step post, I decided on making a video...unfortunately, i...

Here is a video a made a few minutes ago. Sorry for the quality - hard to take a video of yourself shooting.
It's 1 shot of my .223 suppressed recipe. Bullet impact is just below brush pile.

Not bad me thinks....
