I'd talk to Tony at Tromix, he made the original barrels and has the correct licensed reamer not the backwards engineered one a lot of people use.

Re: 9mm AR suppressor spacer...help?!
If it's an AR you should be using a direct thread adapter, not a piston.

Re: 9mm AR suppressor spacer
You shouldn't need a spacer on a pistol. the spacers are used on rifles which have longer threads. Something is wrong with the piston or your barrel threads.

Re: 458 socom Silencerco Hybrid SBR sanity check
I have a 10.5 Socom and I've fired both supersonic and subsonic through it. It cuts the blast down on the 300 gr quite well. On a good subsonic load it's very quiet. Different powders give various levels of quiet. One silencer dealer has fired full auto supersonic through one on a 10.5 and it took i...

Re: 9mm/124 gr./ Osprey 45 Question
I shoot similar loads with my Octane 45. Did the Osprey have a piston in it to allow it to work with an auto pistol?

I have 2 Octane 45s, so it's obvious which I prefer. Like has been said above the CS and SS baffles make it the choice. I too clean my baffles in SS media.

You're good as long as it does not reduce the sound.

Brownells has a series of step by step videos for building an AR. It's very good since it beaks the videos down to units, like the trigger group, etc.

The Hybrid is rated for 458 SOCOM, Lane makes some big bore silencers too.

Re: Sig srd762 vs Phantom m2 QD vs Specwar 762
The reason that I went with the Phantom over the Specwar was that mine is mounted part way under the handguard. The Phantom mount works good for this, the Specwar doesn't.

I have a 9MM AR with a 5 in barrel. It has the JP bolt and silent spring and works great. JP does have spring assortments you can buy. I'm using the standard spring and it works fine on my 9MM & 40 S&W uppers. I run suppressed all the time with an Octane 45. The 147 gr loads will be the quie...

In a pistol you don't need sub sonic ammo, and it probably won't cycle reliably. Just get standard velocity ammo.

Re: Multi caliber SBR questions
You fill out the Form 1 for the configuration you intend to make the rifle the fist time. Then once it's approved you can put any caliber/length barrel on it. Do not put "multi" on the caliber. it will be rejected. Put the original caliber IE 30 cal on the form 1.

Re: SBR-ing an AR: Any Difference Between "Pistol" and "Rifle" Lower?
If it's configured as a pistol (by ATF designations) then it's a pistol, just as when it has a 16 upper, it's a rifle.

I have SBRs in 9MM, 40 S&W, 45ACP and 300 blk with JP Silent springs in all of them.. I needed to test fire my 9MM the other day and went in my backyard to do it, even though I live about 4 blks from the police station in the middle of a small town. Rudy at Macon Armory would be a good guy to ta...

I had a Phantom Q2 mount that all of a sudden wouldn't accept the suppressor, wouldn't let it thread on. I have several rifles with the mounts that the silencer went on fine. I sent it to YHM with a note and they promptly sent me a new one, no email questions, no hassles. Nice to get good customer s...

The spring/buffer noise can be taken care of with a JP 9MM captured spring. I have one and it works great. A little pricey, but nice. I have a a 9MM SBR that is very quiet with 147 gr reloads and an Octane 45.

If you buy an Octane 45, it will come with one booster of your choice. The other calibers are readily available. I've used mine on 22 RF up to 300 Blk subsonic.

Re: Personal Experiences on your 9mm AR SBR
I've got one on a DDLES (now QC10) Glock lower. It was originally set up as a 40 S&W gun and I later built a 9MM upper for it. It's a 5 in ADCO barrel, JP BCG. It has a 9 in rail on it since I wanted the Octane 45 partially covered. I did have a Slash buffer and Wolf heavy spring, which worked w...
